The Marbled Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper is beautiful. It has gold accents throughout the paper. I must say elegance is the word. The B Side does not have the gold, but it goes perfectly with the front. I featured this paper with my cards today. I made these cards for shut-ins at my church and a few others, too. I've already put them in the mail so I don't have one. I might not give the dimensions perfectly. I don't have one left.
First let me say that I missed a few of my regular postings. My computer was sent to Buffalo for some repairs. It is returned and all is back to normal. I was so afraid that some things might be missing, but no. All is there. I do not post usually with my phone. I'm of the old school that took typing in school and I'm much more comfortable with a larger key board. I had a couple posts done in advance, but the repairs took a little longer than I anticipated.
These are the cards I made. They are all slightly different. I cut lots of hearts using the Hearts of Elegance bundle. I cut in different sizes. This was a great way to use up scraps that I had left from other projects.
The base of the cards are 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4. They are Cherry Cobbler. The next layer was Flirty Flamingo 4 x 5 1/4. Next I cut a layer of Basic White 3 3/4 x 5. I ran this white layer through the Cut & Emboss Machine with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder. Add the white layer with the Multipurpose Glue. The glue will get into the recessed areas and will also give you a little time to get everything straight.
After assembling that much for all of the cards, I began to place the hearts. I added them with glue.
The saying comes from the Sale-a-Bration set Heart Shaped. This bundle (stamp set and dies) is free with a $120 purchase until February 28th. Stamp on Basic White, trim, and angle the ends. Glue.
I used the Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins on some of the cards and the Adhesive-Backed Heart Sequins for others.
This is what the inside of the cards looked like. The saying is from the Hearts of Elegance stamp set.
I think this tells the story. This is a simple yet elegant design. It's perfect for valentines!
