Wild Fern Bundle One Card and a Little Stepped Up
January 11, 2024
You'll find the Wild Fern bundle on page 21 of the January-April Mini catalog. It might be a bundle that you have overlooked. I here to help you take a second look.
I love the way Stampin' Up! has wonderful products that work so well together. The Fern 3D embossing folder is a perfect pair. The Wild Fern dies will work great with the Timeless Arrangements dies as well. Both of these die sets have wonderful rectangles that work great with loads of the sayings that you probably have. The Wild Ferns stamp set has some wonderful sayings!
This card has a base of Shaded Spruce 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4.
The Basic White layer is 4 1/8 x 5 3/8. Run it through the Cut & Emboss Machine with the Fern 3D embossing folder. Glue to the card front.
Cut one of the Wild Fern dies attached to a corner from Shaded Spruce. Figure how where you want it and glue to the card front.
Stamp your saying of choice on Basic White and cut out using the Wild Ferns dies. Add this piece on dimensionals making sure that the borders of spruce are even on the side and top.
Use a Dark Shaded Spruce blend to color one of the white sequins from the Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins.
That's all there is to it!
This card is stepped up just a little. The base of the card is Thick Basic White 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. Score and fold at 4 1/4. Be sure to use your Bone Folder to burnish the fold well.
You'll need to punch 6 Basic White ovals using the Modern Oval Punch. Find it on page 35 of the mini. Emboss these ovals with the Fern EF.
Glue the first row at top by leaving a little space. Let the ovals meet in the middle. For the next row leave a little space again. Add an oval to the center. Use another oval and cut in half. Add one of the pieces to each end. The last row is a repeat of the first. Turn over the paper and trim any extras even with the card base. Try to make the spacing even between all shapes.
Cut another of the fern cutouts. Place this so that the saying can be verical.
Stamp the sayin, cut it out, and add with dimensionals just as in the first card.
Color more sequins and add.
The inside is the same for both cards.
And here are both cards.
Pretty, yet pretty simple. I'm so glad you popped over today and spent a little time with me. I know time is precious. If I can help you in any way, please let me know. I am an independant Stampin' Up! demonstrator.
