NC Demo Blog Hop for February 2024 Sale-a-Bration
February 25, 2024
Welcome to the NC Demo Blog Hop. We hop on the last Sunday of every month. Our theme for this hop is Sale-a-Bration. I'm so happy that you are here. If you are just starting the hop, please visit all of us. You'll get some great ideas! If you are in the middle of the hop, I'm so glad you have landed here and please continue.
Sale-a-Bration is winding down. There are only a few days left. Take the hop for ideas on using your free items. Or, maybe you'll be tempted to make one more order and pick up some more of these free items while you can. Don't forget that new items have been added!
The easiest way to find these freebies is to go to my Online Store here. It may be that some items will run out since the promotion is almost over.
I'll be using one of the items that was added at the beginning of February. The Just Kiddin' Designer Series Paper is in the annual catalog as well. It's a cute paper filled with images of children reading, drawing, and all sorts of things. The backside of the paper is great as well. I'll show some of them. I was excited to get this paper, but then I couldn't think of anything to do with it.
I have four cards to share with you. It turns out the possibilities are endless!
I'll share them one at a time.
The base of this card is Thick Basic White 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4.
Add the stars designer paper cut to 4 x 5 1/4. The next layer is Basic White with the measurements 3 1/8 x 4 3/8. The the Berry Burst designer paper 3 x 4 1/4.
Simply pick a few of the children do their crafts and add with dimensionals.
The saying is from Crafting with You. I stamped in Berry Burst and then cut the saying apart. Life and Crafting are on dimensionals.
One of the Just Kiddin' sheets show children with animals. I decided to use the Doggone Friendly stamp set for a child just getting a new puppy. The measurements for this card are the same as the one above. The base is Lemon Lime Twist.
Stamp the background stamp in Memento Black on a piece of 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White. Then cut it down to 3 x 4 1/4. I did it this way to use the side that I trimmed off on the inside of the card.
Use the Tinsel Gems Four Pack to decorate.
I gave of the the dogs a colored kerchief. Ink up the area. Carefully lay a scrap of the designer paper down on it to stamp. Trim around the image and glue to the original image. This is called paper piecing.
Choose the child you wish and cut them out. I ended up glueing the child to the green designer paper and then trimming around again to help the child stand out.
The saying is from the Something Fancy stamp set. Trim and then add to some Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and trim around again for a frame.
Use the Tinsel Gems Four Pack to embellish.
This card is so easy. One of the sheets in Just Kiddin' has scenes just ready to add to your card front. This one is a library, a school, or maybe a bedroom. I cut out children reading and added them with dimensionals. I used the Artistically Inked stamp set for the hello. Stamp in Melon Mambo and cut out with the Stylish Shapes dies. Bingo! You're done.
For the last card, I used the image of a little boy with a flower. I thought he just might be taking it to his mother for Mother's Day or a birthday.
The base is Thick Basic White.
Cut the background paper to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Center the largest rectangle die from Everyday Details and cut. This cuts out a rectangle area but leaves the holes around the cut out space. Now glue this to the card front.
Cut the same die again using Basic White. You can cut the white down to fit the inside rectangle for this. After cutting, we'll build the flower. I used the Paper Florist dies. The stem is just a 1/4 in strip of the designer paper. The leaf is cut with that as well. Cut the flower from Balmy Blue. Curl the petals with a Bone Folder and adhere the pieces. Add a Daffodil Delight center.
The saying is from the Sweet Songbirds stamp set. I think he is so cute!
So, I hope these cards will give you a springboard for new ideas for the Just Kiddin' Designer Series Paper. I think pairing it with stamps you might already have is a great way to start. Which is your favorite.
On to the next hop where you'll find Tracie. She is so talented so don't miss it!
Thanks for joining me today. Get out that paper and use it!
