Country Woods DSP and an Easy Fun Fold
August 03, 2024
Hello! Do you like an easy fun fold? Well I have one for you today. It features the Country Woods Designer Series Paper. I am a sucker for wood look papers! If you are, I have some great news for you. Coming on August 6, Stampin' Up! will begin a Designer Series Paper sale. Select papers will be 15% off. These are papers in the Annual Catalog. Specialty papers are not included.
Get out your pen and paper and start your list. Let me also tell you that Stampin' Up! will have a big order day on the 6th. It's when demonstrators can begin their preorder for the September-December Mini. I suggest you get your order in as early as you can. Shipping might be a problem. The sale lasts all month, but it's possible something might run out. If you are wanting the Christmas paper Winter Meadow, order quickly!
I love these papers so much! I had a hard time making myself cut the one with the stripes. Do you ever have that problem. Look how pretty it makes the card! And, this card would be great for those masculine friends. There are NO flowers on this card!
My base is Misty Moonlight cut 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4. Cut off 1 1/2 inches from the front. That's how easy to make it into a fun fold! You might find it easier to cut 5 1/2 x 7 and fold at 4 1/4.
For the top front, cut your patterned paper to 2 5/8 x 5 3/8.
We'll go on to the inside of the card. Cut a piece of Basic White to 2 3/8 x 5 3/8. Stamp in Misty Moonlight using the Country Flowers stamp set.
The striped patterned paper is cut to 1 3/4 x 5 3/8. The tiny strip is 1/4 x 5 3/8. Place that paper last. It's job is to cover up any spaces that could be left.
Use the Nested Essentials dies for the label. I cut one from Basic White and another from the designer paper. Stamp on the designer paper in Misty Moonlight ink. Glue the two together. I did this to make the layer a little heavier since it will extend beyond the front. Add dimensionals to the top part of the lable.
Finish with a beautiful bow using our Linen Thread and some of the Adhesive Backed Swirl Dots.
That's all there is to it! I told you it was easy.
Thanks so much for joining me today. Now think about all the beautiful designer papers you could use to make this design of card. Remember they just might be on sale August 6-31. Hey! You might even have some Bonus Coupons to use.
