Seaside Wishes So Simple
May 13, 2024
Today I'm using the Seaside Wishes bundle. I've had several sea sets and at first I didn't think I needed this one. But take a closer look. This set has a hybrid embossing folder! What does that mean? You can emboss, or you can cut and emboss at the same time. You can also just cut. Hybrid Embossing Folders are the best! Image at Stampin' Up!
I didn't use the folder for my card today. I wanted to keep this card very simple. We'll mainly use the Seaside Wishes stamp set.
The base of this card is Basic Beige. This is a brand new color for us! It measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and fold in the middle. I used another piece of Crumb Cake 4 x 5 1/4 for stamping. Now you'll simply stamp over the front of the card making your own designer paper. Start with the large sand dollar and stamp it with Crumb Cake. Three are probably enough. Now stamp the smaller sand dollars still in Crumb Cake. I used three of these as well. If you go over the sides, the card looks more realistic.
Now take the large starfish and stamp it in Calypso Coral. Stamp off on your scrap paper first to soften the look. Make three of these. Make sure these are near the edges so they will be seen beyond the center layer.
Stamp the dots all over in Crumb Cake. Glue the layer to the front of the card.
The center layer is cut from Basic White using the Deckled Rectangle dies. Use the die that is approximately 2 1/2 x 4. Again, stamp the background using the same stamps and colors. Use one large sand dollar and 2 small ones. Stamp off this time. Stamp the saying in the middle in Calypso Coral ink. Now add the little starfish stamping them off first.
Stamp the dots over this layer as well. No need to stamp these off first.
tie linen thread around this layer winding it around two times. Tie into a knot. If there is extra thread on the front, pull it to the back and tape it down so that the thread is tight.
Add dimensionals to the back of the layer and add to the center of the card front.
Embellish with some of the Adhesive Backed Swirl Dots.
For the inside just add a saying from Seaside Wishes and more of the stamps.
That's how easy it is to make a beautiful and simple card with the Seaside Wishes stamp set.
