Country Birdhouse and Country Flowers
May 09, 2024
I hope you are enjoying your new Stampin' Up! catalog. There's a mega suite located on pages 48-51 called the Country Woods Suite Collection. The Suite consists of the Country Birdhouse bundle, the Country Flowers bundle, the Country Woods Designer Series Paper, the Country Lace Designer Series Paper, Basic Gray & Smoky Slate Pearls, Petal Pink & White Diagonal Trim Combo, and the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder. That's a lot of coordination going on! I purchased the entire suite. Not all items are being used in my card today, but there's a lot of cuteness going on! Usually you can order the suite with one order number and that is so conveniet, but, you may see when ordering that the suite is not available right now. Don't be deterred. Right now the Petal Pink & White ribbon is not available. The other parts of the suite are available! Estimates are that the ribbon will return around June 10th, but by then something else might be out. Order what you can if you really want it! That is my lesson.
Now isn't that so cute! We made this card in my classes last week, or a close version of it. I think everyone enjoyed it.
The base is Thick Basic White 4 1/4 x 11, score and fold at 5 1/2. Use a Bone Folder to burnish the fold. The designer paper on the background is from the Country Lane 12 x 12 DSP. I love the subtle eyelet lace of this paper. It measures 3 1/2 x 4 1/2. Glue to the center of the card front.
The designer paper for the birdhouse and the roof and bottom of the birdhouse is from the Country Woods 12 x 12 DSP. Stamp the birdhouse on the Pool Party and wood paper in Early Espresso. Cut this out with the Country Birdhouse dies. Color the hole on the birdhouse with a dark blend. The roof and bottom are cut from a wood grain paper from the Country Woods paper. The scalloped part of the roof is cut from Basic White. Let me say here that there is another thin roof part that goes between the wooden roof and the white scallop. Just to simplify the house a little, I left that part off. The scalloped part does still cover that scalloped stamped part of the birdhouse.
Stamp the bird with Memento Black and color with the Pool Party and the Balmy Blue Combo Packs Blends. I colored the beak and feet with a Peach Pie Stampin' Write Marker. Use the bullet end. Cut out the bird with the dies.
Stamp the saying from the Country Birdhouse stamp set in Early Espresso and fussy cut around it with Paper Snips. Add the saying with dimensionals.
The leaves and flowers are cut using the Country Flowers dies. The leaves are in Soft Sea Foam and the flowers are in Petal Pink. Glue near the bottom of the card. Color in the center of the flowers with Wink of Stella.
Add the bird with dimensionals
Cut the birdhouse holder from Early Espresso and add to the top of the card. You might have to trim the bottom just a little.
For the inside, a saying from Country Birdhouse and another flower down in the corner.
The birdhouse is as cute as it can be, but if I were you, I'd take a look at the suite.
Thanks for joining me today. I do appreciate you for doing that. Let me know if you have any questions. Need a catalog? If you don't have another demonstrator, I'm happy to send one to you!
