Pop Out Gate Fold with Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper

Night Divine and the Fractured Technique

I'm sharing my last Christmas card of the season.  The Night Divine stamp set is so wonderful.  As of this writing the stamp set, dies, and bundle are available in the US market.  The Shining Brightly Designer Series Paper that I used is no longer available for you.

The base of this card is Thick Very Vanilla 5 1/2 x 8 1/2.  Score at 4 1/4.  Burnish the fold with a Bone Folder.

Cut a piece of Very Vanilla 4 x 5 1/4.  Run this through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the Snowflake Sky EF.  This folder was not available at the writing of this post but is projected to be in December 11th.  Glue this layer to the card front.

Cut a piece of designer paper.  The Shining Brightly paper is no longer there, but you have so many other choices from our beautiful papers.  This is a square 2 x 2.  Glue this paper in the top center of the card at an angle.

Cut strips of our Gold Foil at 1/4 inch.  Place a strip at one corner of the square butted up next to the side of the designer paper.  This strip should go off the end of the card.  Work around the square clock wise and add another strip.  The end of this one butts next to the strip added before and still lays along the next side of the square.  It should extend over the edge of the card.  Repeat until the paper is surrounded with the strips.  Trim the strips along the edge of the card.  I'm sure you can search YouTube for videos on this fractured technique.  I don't have one.

Add a shepherd and lamb.  The shepherd is part of the total nativity of the Night Divine dies.  Just trim him off.  Use Night of Navy scraps.

The saying is from the Night Divine stamp set.  Use an embossing buddy on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  Stamp the saying with Versamark.  Add the gold powder from the Metallics Embossing Powders and use a Heat Tool to melt the powder.  This goes so pretty with the gold in the DSP.  Fussy cut around the saying.

The Simply Elegant Trim is not available as of now.  The projected time of arrival is January 1.  Add a little strip of Seal behind where the saying will be and add the gold trim.  I just did a few circles and pushed it into the Seal.  Hint:  add some of the Mini Dimensionals directly to the card front under where the saying will go.  That way you can avoil having a dimensional over any of the ribbon.  It will help the saying lie flatter.

Add some of the Neutral Adhesive-Backed Sequins as an embellishment.

This is the inside of my card.  The cut out is part of the entire piece of the nativity from Night Divine dies.  Just trim away the extra.  Save it because you might just need it.  I did on the front of the card.  The saying is from Night Divine.

I still need to make Christmas cards but the end is in sight.  I hope that you are almost done as well!  I have so enjoyed the Christmas items in the September-December Mini catalog.  It will be completely gone in a few weeks.  Some items are already gone.  I encourage you to go have a look.  You could find some good deals.  As of this writing the Night Divine dies are on sale for for $24.30 in the US.
