Three Cards Using the Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper
November 06, 2023
I've been making videos for several years. In fact I have 187 videos on my YouTube channel. Mind you, I'm not one of the popular demonstrators for Stampin' Up! I don't have a lot of sales. I do have 1.62 subscribers and I'm proud of that. I did have one video in July that has had 9,461 views as I write this post. I don't understand it, but I am thrilled. I don't know why this particular video is popular. It's a video showing the One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper from the Online Exclusives. I showed three ways to use that scenery paper without a lot of waste. You can find it here.
There's a new group of Online Exclusives that will be released for everyone on November 7th! Be sure to check out the Online Exclusives here. The Meandering Meadow 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper is yet another scenery paper that you will love. It is beautiful. I wanted to make something to show off this paper. I've decided to make the cards from that successful video using the new designer paper!
Here are my new cards. All of the measurements are the same. I've used the Courage & Faith stamp sets and the Heartfelt Hexagons bundle. The Heartfelt Hexagons bundle was available for World Card Making Day and is still online.
This paper makes you think spring can't be far away even as we go into winter!
This is the first card. The card base is Petal Pink. Here are the measurements.
Card 1
Base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 1 1/2 and 4 1/4
Cut 3/4 inch from the bottom of the DSP to make it 6 x 5 1/4
Cut paper at 2 3/4, 1 1/8, piece left is 2 1/8
Basic White inside 1 3/4 x 5 1/4
The stamping is done in Orchid Oasis. I did add a strip of DSP inside instead of the white. This was from a back of another piece of the same paper.
The Adhesive-Backed Sequin Trio was used for embellishments.
Here is the second card.
The base of this card is Melon Mambo. Here are the measurements.
Card 2
Base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 2 1/8, 4 1/4
Cut 6 x 6 at the bottom so that you have 6 x 5 3/8
Cut paper at 2 and 2 again leaving a 2 inch piece. Keep pieces in order on all of these cards.
Basic White inside 2 x 5 3/8
Stamping is done in Melon Mambo. The Glossy Dots Assortment was used for embellishments.
The third card is my favorite. The base is Lemon Lime Twist. I think it's my favorite because I don't like pink and I love green.
Card 3
Base is 4 1/4 x 11, score at 3/8, 1 7/8, 3 5/8, 5 1/8, 5 1/2
Cut 6 x 6 paper across bottom as that it is 6 x 4 1/8
Cut designer paper at 1/4, 1 3/8, 1 5/8, 1 3/8, 1/4, piece left is 1 1/8. Keep the pieces in order.
Basic White 3 3/4 x 4 1/8
Use the green ribbon in the Ribbon Duo Combo Pack. Embellishments are the Adhesive-Backed Speckled Dots.
I hope you have enjoyed these cards. Go back and look at the video linked above. Thank you for watching.
I don't make videos as often as I used to do them. If there is something you would want me to do, please let me know. Meanwhile thank you for your support. I do love to share my cards with you!
