NC Demo Blog Hop - I'll Have a Pink Christmas

Welcome to the NC Stampin' Up! Demo Blog Hop for November.  Our theme is I'll Have a Pink Christmas.  I can't wait to take the hop myself.  I think this is such and interesting topic.  I'll admit.  I do not like pink!  But for some odd reason, I got excited.  I predict that great projects are there just for the clicking!  Please take the entire hop!

I'll have a Pink Christmas

We were also encouraged not to use a Christmas stamp set.  I did use Brightest Glow, a set carried over from last year's mini.  Other than that, I don't have Christmas supplies.

I had a hard time with my pictures this time.  The pink does not show well.  I'm using Bubble Bath.  The base is cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score and fold at 4 1/4.

Cut a panel of Bubble Bath that is 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 and run it through the Cut & Emboss Machine with the Merry Melody Embossing Folder.  Glue this panel to the front of the card.

Maybe you could say I cheated a bit by using the Natural Prints dies.  They do have a wreath.  I cut two wreaths, one from the Berry Burst Soft Shimmer Paper Combo Pack and one from Bubble Bath shimmer from the same pack.  Put the Berry Burst on the bottom.  Play around with the wreaths and pull a little of the berry to the front where possible.  I didn't want the Berry Burst to be hidden.  Put the two together with glue dots here and there.   Add the two wreaths with Mini Dimensionals.

Use the Silver & White Sheer Ribbon from the mini catalog.  I colored the ribbon with a Dark Bubble Bath Blend and let it dry just a little.  Tie a bow and add with a glue dot to the bottom right of the wreath.  It looks so pretty in real life!

Cut a deer from Thick Basic White card stock using the Grove dies.  Add over the knot of the ribbon with Mini Dimensionals.  Do not place directly over the knot.

Stamp the sentiment on Basic White in Berry Burst using Brightest Glow.  Fussy cut and add to the upper left of the wreath.

Finish with lots of the 2023-2025 In Color Dots.

I usually add a layer of Basic White on the inside of the card.  Today I decided to leave the pink.  The saying here is also from Brightest Glow and stamped in Berry Burst.

Add another white deer.

That's it.  I thank you for your visit and I hope you found a little inspiration.  For even more inspiration, is up next.

That is an absolutely beautiful card.

Such a gorgeous card, Jo Anne, as usual. I think I missed the part of the challenge that said to not use a Christmas set. But I was lucky to even get mine done on time 😬. I also had a hard time getting my photo to come out well, maybe it’s something about the pink? But I just love your take on this months challenge.

Jo Anne - Your card is beautiful with so many textures, layers, and shades of pink! I definitely missed the extra challenge of not using a Christmas stamp :) It was fun to use pink, a color that I don't use very often.

Ronnie

I love the use of the pink, something I would never have thought of but it looks amazing!!!

Thanks Ronnie. I must say I panicked when I first read our theme. But then, I got excited and I've had this card made almost 3 weeks.
