Garden Walk Designer Series Paper Fun Fold Card

The Garden Walk 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper is on page 53 of the September-December Mini Catalog. It's not so much holiday oriented although there are a few papers that could be considered Christmas. It's a paper for all year round so you should get a lot of use out of it. I have a great little fun fold for you. We all love fun folds!

This is my favorite paper from the Garden Walk pack. It's probably the darkest paper. My friends accuse me of going more toward the neutrals. I guess they are right. For the paper we are using, the patterns are back to back. Take a look. It's pretty paper. I have a video a little later to show you!

The base of this card is Wild Wheat. It's one of the 2023-2025 In Colors. Cut it to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. That's the regular size of a card here in the US. Mossy Meadow is cut to 4 x 5 1/4. The Garden Walk DSP measures 3 7/8 x 5 1/8. I used the floral side for the base of the card.

Now we'll work on the fun fold part. The base of the fold is again Wild Wheat. This will be cut to 4 x 11. Score at 1 1/2, 3 5 1/2, and 8. It will be an accordion fold.

I started from the inside and worked out. It doesn't matter at all. Cut a piece of Mossy Meadow that is 2 3/4 x 3 3/4. A piece of Basic White is cut 2 5/8 x 3 5/8. I did add a piece of the stripe designer paper down the right side, 1/4 x 3 5/8 is enough but you can have it a little wider if you wish. The saying is from the Darling Details stamp set. Stamp in Mossy Meadow ink.

Decorate the inside with a Mossy Meadow leaf, a Poppy Parade flower, and a center of Wild Wheat. I used the Paper Florist dies for all of the pieces.

The middle piece to decorate has a Mossy Meadow piece that measures 2 1/4 x 3 3/4. The designer paper is cut to 2 1/8 x 3 5/8.

For the front of the card, the Mossy Meadow layer is cut to 1 1/4 x 3 3/4, The striped paper is 1 1/8 x 3 5/8.

Stamp the word friend from Darling Details in Mossy Meadow on scrap Basic White. Cut this out with the Stylish Shapes dies. Put the word friend towards the right of the banner. Glue to the card front with the banner extending out. Put glue only on the left side of the banner so that you don't glue the card shut.

Add the leaf, flower, and flower center just as on the inside.

Embellish with the 2023-2025 In Color Dots. Glue the back of the fold to the center of the base.
