Abundant Beauty Masks for a Fall Card
September 11, 2023
If you look on page 47 of the September-December Mini, you'll find the Abundant Beauty Masks. Don't overlook these tools. With the masks and Blending Brushes you can make beautiful sunflowers or any color flower, snowflakes, autumn leaves, or a fantastic background. The possibilities are endless. Today I'm sharing an autumn card that I think you'll love.
The base of this card is one of the new In Colors Wild Wheat. It measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 with the score line at 4 1/4.
Cut a piece of Very Vanilla to 4 x 5 1/4.
With Blending Brushes color this layer with Wild Wheat and Old Olive. Go lightly tapping off the excess ink on you Grid Paper. Blend the two colors together as you go from one color to the other.
Now place the leaf mask over this layer. The mask is larger than the layer. Tape the mask in place. I just tape right to the Grid Paper. Use Wild Wheat, Old Olive, and Cherry Cobbler ink and blending brush to ink in all the places on the mask. These colors will be darker. Move to different colors in different areas. It's great for a leaf to have more than one color. When you are done, sprinkle some dropets of water over the surface and just allow it to dry. This adds additional interest to the background.
Use the Wild Wheat jute from the 2023-2025 In Color Jute Trim. Separate the strands. Run this around the card and tie into a knot. Make a bow of Linen Thread. I used a bow maker that I got online to make a triple bow. Add this bow by tying the strands around the center of the bow. Do all 3 pairs of the strands.
Stamp the saying from So Sincere in Cherry Cobbler ink on Wild Wheat cardstock. Cut this out with the smallest tag from the Tailor Made Tags. Add the tag under the bows with a glue dot and then use dimensionals for the rest.
Add 2023-2025 In Color Dots to embellish.
For the inside of the card, add another saying from So Sincere. Add some color to the corner and use the masks to add more leaves.
I think you are really going to want to check out the Abundant Beauty Masks! Thanks for taking a look at my card for today. I am an independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator. If you need supplies and you don't already have a demonstrator, please give me a chance to earn your business.
