NC Demo Blog Hop for February, 2021-2023 In Colors

Welcome to the NC Demo Blog Hop for February.  This month we are featuring some of the 2021-2023 In Colors.  As you might know Stampin' Up! introduces 5 new In Colors each year.  These colors last for two years.  We'll be saying goodbye to Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, and Fresh Freesia as In Colors.  I'm using three of these colors on my project today.  They are Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, and Fresh Freesia.  They are my favorite!

NC Blog Hop In Colors

I'm so glad you joined me today.  I ask that you visit each blog post on the hop.  Help us say goodbye.

This card is so pretty in person.  Let me tell you, though, that I lost the card.  I can't find it anywhere.  I usually write a post with the card right in front of me.  Thank goodness I had already made photos.  This is a fun fold.

The base of the card is Soft Succulent measuring 4 1/4 x 11.  Score at 2 3/4 from each end.  Fold toward the center of the card and burnish with your Bone Folder.  We'll begin with these areas folded.

Cut 2 pieces of Evening evergreen to 2 5/8 x 4 1/8.  Glue to the sections folded down and folded up.  Now cut 2 pieces of Soft Succulent to measure 2 1/2 x 4.  Run these pieces through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the Stitched Greenery die.  Glue these over the Evening Evergreen panels.

Now we'll work on the panel in the center of the card.  We'll be using the Petal Park bundle with the Petal Park stamp set and the Petal Park Builder punch.  Cut a piece of Evening Evergreen to 3 x 4 1/4.  Now cut a piece of Soft Succulent to 2 7/8 x 4 1/8.  Stamp around the edges of this piece with the large leaves outline stamp from the Petal Park stamp set in Evening Evergreen.  Run the panel through the cut & emboss machine with the Stitched Greenery die.  Glue to the Evergreen panel.

Run a length of the Fresh Freesia Woven Ribbon around this panel and tie into a knot way over to the left.

On a piece of Basic White  measuring 3 x 4 1/4, stamp the large leaves outline stamp in the center in Evening Evergreen.  Color in the leaves with a Light Soft Succulent Blend.  I did stamp a few of the dots around in Evergreen.  Cut this out with the Scalloped Contours dies.  Use the 3rd die in.   Stamp the outline flowers in Memento Black ink.  Stamp so that the smallest flower is at the top.  This will help when using the punch.   Stamp and Punch about 4 sets of the flowers.  Color these using the Fresh Freesia Combo Blends.  Color the centers of the flowers with a Dark Daffodil Delight Blend.  Add one set of the flowers to the white panel with dimensionals.

Add this panel to the card base.  You will only put glue at the top of this panel.  Glue only to the panel that is folded down.

Add the rest of the flowers around the center panel of the card.  A few are tucked under the scalloped white layer.  Others are added to the folded panels so they appear to peek out of the center panel.  Some are hidden on the folded up panel where they are covered when the card is closed.

The saying for this card is from the Beautiful Thistle stamp set.  Save one of the flowers made above for the inside of the card.  Stamp a leaf and color with the Light Soft Succulent Blend.  Cut this out and tuck it behind the flower.

So there you have it.  I admit that I have a hard time stopping.  If you need a more simple card, just leave out all of the extra flowers!

I thank you for visiting me today!  Do yourself and favor and visit all of the posts for this hop!  You'll be glad you did!

Jo Anne - Your card is absolutely beautiful! What a great design. And, it's awesome that you and I chose to use both Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen in our cards. I'm going to miss those colors a lot. BTW - You've convinced me that I need to get the Stitched Greenery Die :)
