Perched in a Tree and the Merry Melody Folder
October 03, 2022
Of course when you think about birds, you think about their beautiful songs. It's only natural to link the Perched on a Tree with the Merry Melody Embossing Folder.
My base for this card is Thick Basic White cut to 4 1/4 x 11, score and fold at 5 1/2.
Cut a piece of Basic White to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Run this paper through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder. Glue this layer to the front of the card. It should fit perfectly.
Stamp the bird, the branch and the saying onto a piece of Basic White in Memento Black. Color with blends. For the branch color with the Light Crumb Cake. Add Dark Crumb Cake where the lines are already on the branch. Go over all again with the Light Crumb Cake. For the bird, use Light Pool Party for the head. Use the Dark Pool Party over lines already there and a little under the beak. For the rest of the bird, use Light Gray Granite, Dark on the extra lines and at the top of the breast. Add some Dark Pool Party on the tips of the wings. Feet are in Dark Gray Granite. Cut both of these using the Aspen dies.
Punch the saying with the Label Me Fancy Punch. Now punch another of the shapes from Pool Party card stock. Cut this lable in half. Glue each end to the end of the label sticking out just a little bit.
Add the branch and the bird with dimensionals. You can use the mini dimensioanals on the branch.
Cut a piece of the Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon and fold in half. Add this under the label and then add the label.
Cut a length of white twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack. Double it and tie around the gray granite ribbon. Trim the ends and then separate the pieces of the ends with the Take Your Pick Tool.
Finish with Classic Matte Dots in Gray Granite.
