All Bundled Up Meets Christmas Pinecone Dies
September 30, 2022
Sometimes I get so excited about a card. I know, but that's why I stamp and share my cards. It brings me joy.
The base of this card is Thick Basic White cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score and fold at 4 1/4.
Cut a piece of the Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Use the Scalloped Contours dies to cut a panel from the center of this paper. Glue the outside part to the front of the card.
Decorate the panel before you add it to the card. First cut a branch using the Aspen dies. Cut it in Early Espresso. Glue to the panel. Use the Christmas Pinecones dies to cut. Use the die that looks fuller. I cut this in Shaded Spruce CS. Cut pieces and glue them to the branch. You will have to snip little pieces apart, but there is no right or wrong way.
Make three pinecones. I used the smaller ones for the small pinecones. There are 2 pieces of both the outline and the more detailed ones. Cut the outline pieces from Crumb Cake. Add some Adhesive Sheets to the back of a piece of Early Espresso. Cut the more detailed dies from that. Those pieces will have adhesive on them when you remove the backing. Add the pinecones with dimensionals.
Stamp the bird from All Bundled Up in Memento Black on Basic White. Color with blends. I used the Crumb Cake combo, Real Red combo, Daffodil Delight combo, Light Flirty Flamingo, and the Color Lifter. Cut out the bird with Paper Snips Scissors. Add the bird with a dimensional.
Stamp the musical notes using the Sweet Songbirds stamp set. I stamped in Memento Black. I also stamped the saying on Basic White and cut around it. If I make this card again, I think I'll try stamping the notes and saying in Early Espresso. What do you think? It might make the card a little more cohesive.
Add this panel into the hole left on the front of the card. Add with dimensionals or use the Foam Adhesive Sheets.
The All Bundled Up stamp set has a snowflake stamp. I used this for the inside of the card. Try that.
