Designer Paper Fold Over Fun Fold with the Sunflowers Dies
June 01, 2022
Last week I shared a Fun Fold with you. I received a lot of comments about the card. I thought I would make a video to show just how easy it it to make. Find the card from last week here. It used the Cottage Rose bundle. For the video I decided to change it up a bit. I do love how it turned out. Here's a pic or two or three.
For this card I used the Sunflowers Dies to make the flower. Here are the basic details.
Base of Crushed Curry card stock 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.
Poppy Parade Card Stock 5 1/4 x 8, score at 4.
Basic White for inside insert 3 3/4 x 5.
Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper 4 x 4 and folded diagonally.
Use the directions from the earlier blog post mentioned above and the video to help with assembly.
For the flower, cut a base for it using just the outline die and Crushed Curry. Cut two of the detailed flowers from the curry print designer paper. Now crushed all three of these papers in your hand and straighten them out again. Glue the three layers together with the plain base on the bottom.
Cut the center from Crumb Cake Card Stock and glue to the middle of the flower. Add the flower to the front of the card with dimensionals. Make sure that the designer paper can slip under the flower for closure of the card.
Cut three of the solid leaves and three of the detailed leaves and crush those in your hand. Adhere to each other and just under the flower base with glue dots.
Stamp the saying from Sweetest Cherries on a scrap of Basic White. Cut this out using the banner from the Stylish Shapes dies. Curl the banner with a Bone Folder and add to the card with glue dots on each end.
Use the twine from the Fan Baker's Twine in the Jan-June Mini catalog to make a knot. Use the Take You Pick tool to pull the strands at the end apart.
Embellish with the new Hearts Pearls.
For the inside of the card, I used the Sweetest Cherries stamp set in Crushed Curry and Poppy Parade.
Here is the video.
I hope you found the video helpful. I would love to see more variations of this fold. Let me know if you make it!
