Botanical Layers and a Download for You Too!

I think that Botanical Layers is a beautiful stamp set.  I also have a beautiful card for you.  I had a wonderful time making this card, but there is a warning.  If you don't like to fussy cut images, this card is not for you.  I do love to cut things out, fortunately.

You may have noticed the Tutorial Medley logo on my card.  I belong to the Tutorial Medley group.  It's a group of about 25 demonstrators.  We are going through a little change so this month it might not be that many.  We will build back up to 25.  Each one of us creates a card and writes a tutorial to go with it.  I am able to past on to you all, hopefully 25, of the tutorials.  I do this for my Luv 2 Create team and for customers who purchase a minimum of $50 worth of product.  It's my way of saying thank you and passing along great cards created by great demonstrators.

Designer Paper: 2022-2024 In Color 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper

Measurements:

Card Base: Thick Basic White 4 ¼ x 11, score at 5 ½.

Cardstock #2: Basic White 3 ¼ x 4 ½ for rectangle frame, scraps

Designer Paper #1: Tahitian Tide dotted designer paper approx 3 x 4

Instructions:

Emboss the front of the card base using the Brick & Mortar EF.

Cut a frame from Basic White using the Stitched Rectangle dies. Use the 3rd and the 5th rectangles from the outside.

Cut a rectangle from the designer paper using the 4th stitched rectangle in. Glue this to the center of the card front.

Add the rectangle to the front of the card covering the edges of the designer paper. Use Foam Adhesive Strips for this.

I hope you like fussy cutting! Using white scraps stamp zebra looking plant two times in Old Olive ink. Stamp the full leaves plant in Granny Apple Green. Cut these out with paper snips.

Add the zebra plant to the right coming out from the side just under the frame. I did cut off the far right bit of the plant. Glue this down. A tiny part of the plant rests just over the frame at the top.

Next add the leaves plant. I moved it up just a little so that the last plant will cover the bottom, but it’s a little higher. Add dimensionals to the leaves near the top and glue the rest.

The plant on the left is on top of the frame and over the side. Add bits of the Foam Adhesive Strips for the part inside the frame. This makes it the same height of the frame.

Add some of the Polished Pink Loose Flower Flourishes around the plants.

The saying comes from the Botanical Layers stamp set. Stamp in Polished Pink on white scrap. Cut this out using the Stylish Shapes dies. Curl with your Bone Folder. Attach with Glue Dots over the far left plant. Attach the end just over the frame with another bit of Foam Adhesive Strips.

Take three lengths of Linen Thread about 3 inches long. Hold them together and tie a knot in the center. Trim the ends. Separate the stands with the Take Your Pick Tool.
