NC Demo Blog Hop A Little New A Little Old
May 29, 2022
Welcome to the NC Demo Blog Hop for May. We are now well into the new annual catalog and I am loving it. Today we are using new products, but we are adding in some of the older but current products as well. I love how Stampin' Up! products coordinate together so there's no need to do away with what you already have. Of course you are going to want the new stuff too!
You may have just come from Tina's blog. Great project, right! If you are starting with me I encourage you to hop all around. You'll find some great inspiration. Let's get started.
I have a little bit of a fun fold for you today using the Nature's Prints Bundle with the Natural Prints dies. I'm also using the Sun Prints Designer Series Paper.
Start with a base of Night of Navy cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4. Burnish the fold with your Bone Folder. Cut 1 1/2 inch from the front. I could have changed my measurements in exclude the cut off, but I'm keeping it simple.
So for the front of the card, use the Sun Prints paper cut to 2 1/2 x 4 7/8.
You'll need a Night of Navy Circle using the Layering Circles almost 3 inches in diameter. I used a Gray Granite piece of the DSP to cut another smaller circle that's about 2 3/4 inches. Glue that patterned paper to the center of the navy circle. Glue the circle to the card. I tried to center it. Please remember that part of the circle hangs off the front. PUT NO GLUE THERE!
Use the Forever Flourishing dies to cut the Basic White larger plant seen in the photo. Go ahead and add these. A suggestion might be that you use the Adhesive Sheets with this cut out. The small white pieces to the right are cut using the Nature's Prints dies from the bundle. You might want to wait to add these pieces.
Stamp the largest image from the Nature's Prints stamp set in Night of Navy on Basic White. Cut out with the coordinating dies. Add to the card with dimensionals. Make sure there aren't any on the part that sticks out over the front.
Now add the small white pieces.
You'll need about 5 inches of the Gray Granite Ribbon folded over. Clip ends so they are pretty. The saying is from the Nature's Prints stamp set. Stamp in Night of Navy on a white scrap. Cut out using the Potted Succulents dies. Stick a couple dimensionals in the corners avoiding the ribbon.
Embellish using some of the Elegant Faceted Gems.
Inside measurements are Gray Granite paper 1 5/8 x 4 7/8 and Basic White 2 3/8 x 4 7/8.
New Products: Nature's Prints, Natural Prints dies, Sun Prints Designer Series Paper
Old Products: Layering Circles dies, Potted Succulent dies, Forever Fern dies, Gray Granite Ribbon, Elegant Faceted Gems
