Eclectic Garden with Rectangle Stitched Dies

I don't know what drew me to the stamp set Eclectic Garden, but I love it.  It's in the mini catalog on page  44 and in the new annual catalog on page 107 as well.    I made a card using the set and it's one those that make me want to sing!  I can't really carry a tune anymore so you don't want to witness that.  So here is the picture.

I'm going to honest and tell you that I had help with the coloring.  I cased Tammy Wilson's work.  Her post can be found here.  Tammy is one of our Stampin' Up! Artisans.  She is good!

I started with a card base of Thick Basic White measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2.  Score and fold at 4 1/4.  Use a Bone Folder to burnish the fold.

Cut 2 pieces of the black dotted paper from the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper.  I'm not sure of this paper is still available.  It was a Host Reward choice.  Of course the paper can be substituted with something else.  There is a new paper called Perfectly Penciled that would be perfect.  The pieces measure 3/4 x 5 1/2.  Glue one at the very top and one at the bottom.

Now who knew that the Rectangle Stitched dies would fit so perfectly across the card base.  Cut 3 rectangles using the third smallest die from the larger group.  I used Basic White.

Stamp the plants in the rectangles with Memento Black.  Color  with blends.

Blueberries:  Granny Apple Green combo, Light So Saffron, Light Balmy Blue, Light Night of Navy

Radishes:  Light Granny Apple Green, Old Olive combo, Fresh Freesia combo, Light Highland Heather

Flower:  Polished Pink combo, Light Melon Mambo, Light Granny Apple Green, Old Olive combo

Glue all of these in the center of the card.  They will overlap the designer paper some.  I would start on one side and butt each piece against the other.  It should fit.  If there is any extra, I would just go trim on the paper trimmer.

Flick some black dots over the card.  Use the Black Stampin' Write Marker.  Just place the fat end of the marker in the cap and flick down. Eclectic Garden Pattern Party DSP Black & White Gingham Ribbon Tailor Made Tags dies Easter Friends Close Up os Card Jo Anne Hewins Luv 2 Create

The saying is from Easter Friends from the mini catalog.  Stamp in black and cut out with the smallest of the Tailor Make Tag dies.  Use Basic White.

Use the Black and White Gingham Ribbon to pull around to the front and tie in a bow.  I ran the ribbon through the hole in the tag.

Add one of the 2021-2023 In Color Gems on the tag.  I'm sure these are no longer available by now.

Jo Anne, this is one of those stamp sets that I would never purchase as it looks to hard. You have made a beautiful card with this intimidating set! I LOVE how you used the rectangle dies and your coloring. I really appreciate your blog! Thanks for sharing!!

Thank you Angie. You really don't see a lot of samples with this set.
