Blessings of Home Sympathy Card
April 27, 2022
Today I have another sympathy card. I had a sympathy class a while back and I've been sharing the cards now and then. Unfortunately, at my age, I've been needing them more and more. So here's the card. It features the Blessings of Home Bundle with the Flowers of Home dies.
The base of this card is Night of Navy cut 4 1/4 x 11. Score at 5 1/2.
I've added a piece of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper that is cut to 4 x 5 1/2. When the paper is cut this way I can still get 6 card fronts out of one 12 x 12 sheet. I like it this way. Simply leave a little space on each side.
Cut two tags using the Tailor Made Tags dies. Use Basic White. Use the largest tag. Run both of the tags through the Hive 3D Embossing Folder. I glued the two tags together in the middle so that they would span the diagonal of the card front. The seam is covered by the flower. Hint: If you feel that the tags glued together will cause too much bulk, just trim them before you glue them together.
Stamp the largest flower in Night of Navy ink on Basic White. Cut using the coordinating dies. Add to the card covering the seam of the tags. Use dimensionals.
The saying is from the Many Happenings stamp set. Just stamp in navy and cut the ends.
Finish up the card by cutting leaves in Garden Green and Night of Navy flowers. Use the Flowers of Home dies. Glue those in place.
The navy twine bows come from the Fan Baker's Twine.
For the inside of the card, the saying is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set.
