My son Jeff had a birthday last week so I had to pull out the Home & Garden Bundle. He does landscaping work. He loved the card.
I have to admit that I borrowed from the catalog sample found on page 72 of the Jan-June catalog.
I used a Cajun Craze base that is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4. The Basic Black layer measures 3 7/8 x 5 1/8. The next layer is from the Bloom Where You Are Planted Designer Series Paper. It is cut to 3 3/4 x 5.
For the bar across at the top, I Used the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. It measures 1/2 x 4 1/2.
There is a lot of die cutting for this card, but it is really simple. Stamp all the tools on Basic White CS using Memento Black Ink. Color in using the Smoky Slate Blend Combos and the Cajun Craze Blend Combos. Then cut it out with the Garden Dies.
There is a die that cuts out the pieces that the tools hang on. I know there is a word for that. It escapes me right now. Cut those out in black. The die cuts multiples at once.
I did try to fix the tools on those hooks. I might have changed the black somehow on the ladder and the clippers looking back at it. For the long pieces of the ladder etc. I cut strips from the edges of the mini dimensionals. You could also used the Foam Adhesive Sheets.
The saying is from Home & Garden.
The saying for the inside of the card is from Special Moments. That is one of the Sale-a-Bration sets free with a $100 order.
