In Good Taste, Use Those Scraps
October 25, 2021
I love the natural look of the papers in the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. It was so popular that it was carried over from last year's annual catalog to this year's catalog. Over time, I've purchased several packs of this paper and I must admit that I have lots of scraps. Here are two easy peasy cards that use my scraps. These are great masculine cards that could be used for any occasion by changing the sentiment.
One card uses the scraps vertically and the other horizontally.
The card base is Early Espresso that is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4. The next layer is Basic White 4 x 5 1/4.
Cut a piece of basic white that is 3 3/4 x 5. Cover the entire sheet with an Adhesive Sheet. Burnish with your Bone Folder to make sure it sticks well all over the surface. Peel off the adhesive and add the In Good Taste strips. Don't worry about the strips sticking out over the edges. Just turn over the layer and trim the ends to fit.
The Early Espress label is stamped with the Tailored Tag Punch.
The sentiment is from the Welcoming Woods stamp set. Cut out with the Layering Circles dies. One card has a Linen Thread bow attached with a rolled up glue dot. The second card has some of the Faux Suede Early Espresso Ribbon behind.
Embellish with some of the Brushed Metallic Dots.
These cards are quite simple and easy to make. You are also using up your scraps. This technique could be used for any type of designer paper. I'm so glad that you joined me today!
