Using Scraps, Samples and a Video!

Facebook Live 10.6.2021 Using Your Scraps to Make Beautiful Cards

Well, hello!  I'm so glad you are here today.  This video will show you how to make beautiful cards with all those scraps you have hanging around.  I used a lot of different stamp sets, dies, and embellishments for these cards, but they are basically simple.  You'll be able to use supplies you already have.  Maybe you'll see something that you would like to add to your stamping collection.

I'm going to go ahead and add the video here.  Then I'll go over each card.

For the first card, I used a base of Thick Basic White measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2.  Score and fold at 4 1/4.  The next layer is Basic White 4 x 5 1/4.  The Pale Papaya piece is 1 1/2 x 4.  I used the Macrame Embossing Folder.

The other pieces of card stock are 1 x 4.  I trimmed away the excess.  Use Calypso Coral and Poppy Parade.  Embossing Folders used are Parisian Flourish, Timeworn Type, Ornate Floral, and Meadow Moments.  Of course any folders can be used.  Tie with White Crinkled Seam Binding.  The tag is from the Tailor Made Tags dies.  The little flowers are from the Pierced Blooms dies.  The Adhesive Sheets make this project easy.  Add to the 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Basic White.  The saying is from the Inspired Thoughts stamp set.

This card has a base of Fresh Freesia that is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.  The Basic White layer is 3 3/4 x 5.  I have a tip in the video.  There is another layer of Basic White that is 3 5/8 x 4 7/8.  Cover with Adhesive Sheets.  Be sure to burnish the sheets with your Bone Folder.  Add the 1/2 inch strips of Pool Party, Balmy Blue and Fresh Freesia diagonally.  Trim off extra paper.

The label is cut from the Encircled in Beauty dies.  The saying is from Welcoming Woods.  I used the Fresh Freesia In Color Ribbon.

Finish off the card with 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.

Facebook Live 10.6.2021 Using scraps Hand-Penned DSP Tasteful labels dies Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack 2021-2023 In Color Jewels Luv 2 Create Jo Anne Hewins

This card has a base of Highland Heather the same size as the other two cards.  The Basic White layer is 3 3/4 x 5.  Don't forget to used the Adhesive Sheets to fit this layer.

For this card I used strips of the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper.  They are close to 1/2 inch wide.  I showed a different pattern of adding the strips.

I used the Tasteful Labels dies for the saying.  The ribbon is from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack.  I also used the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.  The saying is from Inspired Thoughts.

I hope this video gave you some ideas for using those strips of scraps.  I'll have another video and more ideas for using scraps on Monday, October 11th.  I hope you'll join me then.
