Christmas Treat Boxes Using the Tombstone Treat Boxes
October 29, 2021
On my Facebook Live this past Wednesday, 10.27.2021, I used the Tombstone Treat Boxes to make some beautiful Christmas Treat Boxes. Let me show you! I did not include the Tombstone Treat Boxes in my list of supplies at the end of my post. I see that they are on backorder scheduled to tentatively arrive on November 15th.
I need to have a disclaimer here at the beginning. I used the smaller size box for the top, PLEASE USE THE LARGER SIZE FOR THE TOP!
My first box uses the Christmas Season bundle with the Seasonal Labels dies. I cut the leaves from Pear Pizzazz and Garden Green. The berries are cut from Merry Merlot. The label is in Basic White cut from the coordinating dies. The leaves needed to be trimmed to fit on the box. I used the Metallic Ribbon for the bow.
The second box uses the Be Jolly stamp set. For the texture added to the box, run the whole box lid through the Bark embossing folder. I use the Brick & Mortar embossing folder for the chimney. Use the Basic Gray pad and rub it lightly on the side of the folder that has the raided grout lines. Run a 1 3/4 x 3 piece of Real Red through the folder. Add a thin piece of Basic Gray to the top of the chimney. Add the chimney with dimensionals. The Santa is stamped on Basic White in Basic Gray ink. Color with the Real Red combo, Smoky Slate combo, Ivory, Light Petal Pink, Light Daffodil Delight. The bird also uses the Balmy Blue combo. You'll have to fussy cut the Santa and bird. Add with dimensionals.
My third box top uses the Merriest Moments Hybrid bundle. Cut a Basic White rectangle using the Merriest Frames dies rectangle. Stamp a large and small flower using Real Red. Stamp two leaves in Evening Evergreen. Cut using the dies. The saying is from the Christmas to Remember stamp set. Stamp the center of the flowers in Basic Gray or you can add some of the Metallic Pearls. Add the Wonderful Gems to the rectangle with the saying. The rectangle is attached with dimensionals.
Finally, the last box is decorated using the Angels of Peace. Start with a piece of Basic White that has been embossed with the Merriest Frames embossing folder. Trim this down to 3 x 4 to fit the top of the box. You want the rectangle to stay in the middle. Cut a white rectangle using the dies. Stamp the angel in Basic Gray and color with Blends. I used Ivory, Light Petal Pink, Daffodil Delight combo, Old Olive combo, Balmy Blue combo, and Light Real Red combo. Use Wink of Stella on the wings. Cut a piece of Gold Foil a little larger than the rectangle (about 1/8th inch). Tie the White Glittered Organdy Ribbon around the embossed piece and tie into a ribbon on the side. Add the gold foil with dimensionals. Add the embossed piece to the box top.
