NC Blog Hop for September Teepee Christmas Card

Welcome to the NC Blog Hop for September.  Our theme is trash to treasure.  Sorry, I couldn't get into that so I have a card that does need something Stampin' Up! does not sell.  I did get it at the Dollar Tree so maybe that will qualify.  The Dollar Tree is a great place to find treasures!

I've been making some teepee cards.  See this post for a video on making these cards.

Since I've linked you to a video, I'm going to give you pictures and supplies.  Here is my teepee Christmas card featuring the Be Jolly stamp set.

Isn't this cute!!!  You'll need

3 pieces of Mossy Meadow measuring 4 x 4.  Use your Paper Trimmer to score each piece diagonally once.

2 pieces of Heartwarming Hugs measuring 3 7/8 x 3 7/8.  Cut both of these diagonally once.  You'll only use three of these pieces.

1 piece of Basic White measuring 3 7/8 x 3 7/8.  Cut once diagonally.

Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper

Be Jolly and Banner Year stamp sets (easy to substitute paper you have!)

Peaceful Deer for Merry Christmas sentiment.  This is a photopolymer stamp set.  I curved the stamp on my block.  It stays long enough to get your image!

Memento Black and Real Red pads

Blends Combo Packs:  Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Smoky Slate, Soft Suede, Ivory, Balmy Blue, Old Olive

Sequins for Everything

Here are pictures of the outside and the inside of the card.

So, I think you have what you would need to make this card.  What else did I need?  This type of card needs something to close the card when you have it standing.  Use either small magnets or velcro rounds.  I had no idea where to look for these in my craft room and no time.  I checked out Amazon and of course they are there.  I didn't want to wait even for next day delivery.  Yes, the Dollar Tree had both!  For the Christmas card, I used velcro.  If you do use the magnets, the ones I got did not have adhesive on them.  I used Tear & Tape to cover the side.

I appreciate your time today.  Please take the entire hop.  NC has very talented stampers!  You'll love the ideas that you get.  Amanda is up next!

Jo Anne, I remember making this type of card years ago and I had honestly forgotten about it since then. So thanks for the reminder of a great fun fold card! And I love the Be Jolly stamps that you used :)

Thanks Toni. Looks like you had a great birthday and time away!
