Beauty of the Earth DSP and Welcoming Woods

Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #683. This week we have a sketch.

I chose to use the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper for my card and the Welcoming Woods stamp set.

Begin with a card base of Thick Basic White 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4.

Cut the blue paper with the trees the same size as the card front, 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Be careful of the directionality of the paper. Cut a piece of the blue designer paper with the Seasonal Labels dies. Stamp this piece with the Welcoming Woods dies. I did set this up on the Stamparatus. Stamp in Early Espresso. Using a Blending Brush add some Night of Navy ink to the edges of this layer. Use an Embossing Buddy over this layer. Stamp the snowflakes in Versamark. Emboss in white from the Basics Embossing Powders. Add this layer near the bottom left with dimensionals.

Add a piece of Tear & Tape and add some of the Glitter Organdy Ribbon making little ridges with the ribbon.

The saying is from the Happy Holly-Days stamp set. Stamp in navy on Basic White. Notch the ends. Glue to the panel.

Color some of the Wonderful Snowflakes (2) with Night of Navy ink. I used a sponge dauber. Sponge glue onto the back of the snowflake and glue to the card. Trim even with the card base.
