Beautifully Penned Accordion Card

Today I have a beautiful card using the Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper. This paper is one of the free items you can earn during Sale-a-Bration. Did you know that SAB ends on September 30th. This paper pairs so nicely with the Hand-Penned Bundle in the annual catalog. Here's my card.

My card is a fun fold called the accordion fold. It uses a piece of designer paper that measures 5 1/2 x 12. If you have a lot of paper you need to use, this card is perfect. Score the card at 1 3/4, 4 3/4, and 7 3/4.

I cut the largest of the Layering Circles from Old Olive and the next largest from Basic White. Stamp the image from the Hand-Penned stamp set in Memento Black. I colored this in using the Cajun Craze Blends Combo, the Daffodil Delight Blends Combo, the Pale Papaya Blends Combo, and the Old Olive Blends Combo. Glue the image circle to the Old Olive one.

I glued the smallest section down to the next section. Add a 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch piece of Old Olive paper from the Regals 6 x 6 Designer Paper Series Paper Stack. Glue butted up next to the DSP. Wrap around some of the Metallic Mesh Ribbon and tape where the circle will cover it. Add the circles with glue, but be very careful not to attach the far right of the circles. You want the card to be able to open all the way.

The saying on the front is from Welcoming Woods. Stamp in Cajun Craze and fussy cut. Add to the card front with dimensionals.

Add a piece of Basic White for the inside of the card. It measures 2 7/8 x 5 3/8. Stamp another image from Hand-Penned in Memento Black and color these with the same colors as above. The saying is from Welcoming Woods.

So use up some of that paper you have. This is a cute and easy card.
