Shaded Summer, the Summer Shadows Dies, and Textures and Frames

Happy beginning to the August-December Mini Catalog and Sale-a-Bration!!!  Today is the day you've been waiting for!  Before I share my project for today, I wanted to tell you that during this Sale-a-Bration, there will be a little change for check out from our online store.

To enhance the shopping experience, we’ve made improvements to the online store—specifically the process of selecting Sale-A-Bration items while shopping. This time—from 3 August to 30 September—the earned Sale-A-Bration items will instead be selected during the checkout process.

Once a customer has finished shopping and reviewed their cart, they will be alerted about their Sale-A-Bration earnings. When they proceed to checkout, they will then select their Sale-A-Bration items. They will not be able to continue the checkout process until they have either selected their free products, or acknowledged the option to proceed to checkout without free products.

I'll also take this time to ask you to be cure to check the demonstrator name before you finalize your order.  Sometimes this can change during your process even if you start with my name.  Please just double check.  Thanks so much!

Today I have used two Sale-a-Bration products, the Summer Shadows dies ($100 purchase) and the Textures and Frames stamp set.($50 purchase).  I've also used the Shaded Summer stamp set from page 75.  Here is my card.

I have to admit that the Textures and Frames stamp set has been a bit of a challenge.  Then I noticed the sample on page 12 of the Sale-a-Bration Brochure.  I liked the lineup of colors and decided to use that inspiration.  

The base of the card is Bermuda Bay measuring 4 1/4 x 11, scored and folded at 5 1/2.  There are a lot of layers for this card.  Pale Papaya is 4 x 5 1/4, Coastal Cabana is 3 5/8 x 4 7/8, and Basic White is 3 1/2 x 4 3/4.  

Stamp the white layer with the Textures and Frames stamp set using Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, and Pale Papaya pads.  Be sure to clean the stamp each time.

Next stamp the largest flower stem from the Shaded Summer stamp set in Memento Black.  I recommend using the Stamparatus.  This way you can get a good dark image by stamping more than once if needed.  Stamp more to the left of the card.  At the same time you can stamp the saying if you put it on the Stamparatus as well.

Run a length of the Pale Papaya Ribbon across the white layer and tape to the back.  Make a bow to add later.

Adhere all of the layers.

Using the Summer Shadows dies, cut one of the more solid flowers and 2 or the detailed flowers.  Crunch all of the layers into a little ball and then pull back out.  Punch a Pale Papaya circle using a regular hole punch and add it to the center of the more solid flower.  Without worrying about matching up the layers, adhere them with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Add to the card with several glue dots.  

Add the bow with glue dots.

Here is the inside of my card.  Stamp the 4 x 5 1/4 insert with the same colors as on the front.  Add the saying from Shaded Summer.
