I didn't notice the Shaded Summer stamp set in our catalog at first. I bought it to do this tutorial. I have fallen in love with it. The sayings in the set are wonderful.
So here is my card. I have to say I think that it's beautiful!
This is a book fold card. Here are all the directions.
Stamp Sets: Shaded Summer (155783)
Cardstock: Merry Merlot (146979), Basic White (159276)
Ink: Versamark (102283), Merry Merlot pad (147112), Subtles Stampin’ Write Markers (147156), Regals Stampin’ Write Markers (147155), Neutrals Stampin’ Write Markers (147158)
Tools & Accessories: Ornate Frames dies (150664), Gilded Gems (152478), Simply Elegant Trim (155766), Basics Stampin’ Emboss Powders (155554), Heat Tool (129053), Seal (149699), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Stamparatus (146276)
Designer Paper: Expressions in Ink DSP (155464)
Card Base: 5 ½ x 8 ½, score at 3 ¼, 4 ¼
Cardstock #2: Basic White 3 1/8 x 5 3/8, need 2
Scrap of Basic White for sentiment
Designer Paper #1: 7/8 x 5 3/8
Fold card at the 4 ¼ score line. Fold the card back on itself from the 3 ¼ score line. Glue this 1 inch section down.
Add the Expressions in Ink DSP on this area. I found that Seal looks better than the glue. The paper looks more smooth with Seal.
Set up the two flower stamps on the Stamparatus. There is a little space between the two flower stamps. The saying covers that up. Color directly on the stamp with Old Olive, So Saffron, and Merry Merlot Stampin’ Write Markers. I colored, stamped, and repeated a few times to get a good stamped image. That’s why the Stamparatus is perfect. Glue this layer to the front of the card.
Stamp the sentiment in Versamark, cover with Gold Emboss Powder, and melt with the Heat Tool. Cut out the sentiment with the Ornate Frames dies.
Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the sentiment. Put a lot! Add the gold Simply Elegant Trim to the back of the label. Add to the card front in the empty space. You might want to add a few more dimensionals near the edges.
Add Gilded Gems to the card front.
Stamp the saying on the other Basic White card stock with Merry Merlot ink.
Remove the top flower stamp from the Stamparatus. Color and stamp the remaining flower stamp near the bottom.
Add a ¼ inch strip of the Expressions in Ink paper.
