Party Puffins W Fold Card
July 30, 2021
I have the best card for you today! I am so excited to share it with you! It's a W Fold card using the Party Puffins.
I made this card on my Facebook Live this past Wednesday and I'm so happy to share this post with you to make everything crystal clear.
My base is Basic Black measuring 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2. You also need a strip that is 1 3/4 x 11, score at 2 3/4, 5 1/2, and 8 1/4. You also need 4 rectangles that are 2 1/4 x 2 3/4.
My designer paper is called Beautifully Penned. It's a 12 x 12 free offering from Sale-a-Bration that will be free beginning August 3rd with a $50 purchase. The pack is black and white and there are 4 each of 3 double-sided designs. For this paper you will need 3 pieces of 4 x 5 1/4. Make sure that you cut the wave going in the correct direction. I did reserve the two pieces cut from the same piece for the inside so that the lines match across the card. You'll also need 4 pieces of the DSP that measure 2 1/8 x 2 5/8. Waves will be horizontal.
For the designer paper, use a Blending Brush and Pool Party ink to color every piece.
For coloring the images, I used the Dark Pale Papaya, Dark Pumpkin Pie, Light Smoky Slate, and Dark Daffodil Delight.
I did a little research on puffins and found that they live in northern North America. They spend most of their time in the ocean. When on land they like the rocky cliffs or areas on shore. I used the Majestic Mountain dies to help me with this. I used the mountain die to cut 4 in Basic Gray and one in Smoky Slate. Also cut 2 of the detailed trees from Mossy Meadow and one from Pear Pizzazz. I did put some of the Adhesive Sheets on back of the card stock for the trees.
On the video I explain how I built up the scene with the rocky cliffs and the sea below.
Stamp the puffins and cake using the Stamparatus using Memento Black ink. That way you can stamp again until the black areas are covered well. I did share the way that I lined up the stamps needed for this card on the Stamparatus. You'll need two of some of the images. The birds and the cake will need to be cut out using your snips. Add with dimensionals.
The video will show you how to add the strip to the inside of the card. Here is a picture of the panels. Everything is glued. We want to keep the card as flat as possible.
I think that you have the information that you need along with the video below. I hope you find it helpful.
I would love for you to subscribe to my YouTube channel and share my video.
