Welcome to Thursday's Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #667. This week we are using the colors Calypso Coral, Pale Papaya, and Pear Pizzazz.
Aren't these colors lovely! I used the Pansy Patch stamp set for my card.
The base for this card is Calypso Coral measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, folded at 4 1/4.
The next layer is Pale Papaya 3 3/4 x 5.
Next is a layer is Basic White that is 3 5/8 x 4 7/8. Use the Pretty Flowers embossing folder with this layer.
Glue all layers together.
Cut a Calypso Coral using the 3rd largest rectangle from the Scalloped Contours dies. Run this layer through the Cut & Emboss machine with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.
Cut another layer just the same from Basic White. Trim just outside the stitching. Stamp the pansy here.
I found that I have better luck when stamping the more detailed Calypso Coral stamp first. Add the larger less detailed layer in Pale Papaya. For the inside of the flower stamp the larger stamp in Pale Papaya and then the smaller in Calypso Coral. Stamp the very inside in Memento Black.
Stamp the stem in Pear Pizzazz. Add leaves at the bottom of the flower. Stamp the detailed stamp first. Stamp off for the more solid leaf.
Stamp the saying from Pansy Patch in coral on a 7/8 inch of white. Trim to fit.
Add some of the Artistry Blooms Sequins.
Here's the inside of the card. All is stamped using the Pansy Patch stamp set. I didn't really do a great job lining this up, but I think it still looks fine.
So, that's it. These colors do work very well together. Thanks for taking a look. I hope you found something here to inspire you.
