Welcome to the One Stamp at a Time Blog Hop for June. Our theme is Boys in the Hood. That means it's all for the guys! I'm afraid guys don't get the time they might deserve in this card making thing. I admit that I have a hard time with it. Just give me flowers!
I'm glad you are here and I did come up with a card and box that I think are just the thing. I'm using the Biggest Wish stamp set and the Bloom Where You're Planted Designer Series Paper. I've also added in a few other products. Let's go!
I think the Biggest Wish stamp set and the Stamparatus are a great couple.
My base is Basic Black measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4.
Cut a piece of the wood grain paper from Bloom Where You're Planted that is 4 x 5 1/4.
Set up the Stamparatus to stamp right on this designer paper. The HAPPY will need to be places between two of the hinges near the top of the paper. Start at the top and stamp with Cinnamon Cider ink. I did need to ink more than once. Pull up the plastic plate and attach again at the groove below as you go along. Make sure that your placement of the word HAPPY allows you room to have the word birthday.
To stamp the word birthday, make sure to rub over the already stamped HAPPY with an Embossing Buddy or a used dryer sheet to remove static. Stampin' Up! no longer sells the embossing buddy, but you might still have one. Place the birthday stamp on the other side of the plastic plate already used. Stamp with Versamark. In the beginning I did one word at a time stamping, adding black embossing powder, heating, and repeating. I did the last two words at the same time. I think you can do what is comfortable for you. Do emboss each word with black embossing powder from the Basics Stampin' Emboss Powders. This package contains white, black, and clear powders.
Add a piece of the brick paper from the Bloom Where You're Planted DSP that is 3/4 x 5 1/4 on the left side of the card. Add a piece of Basic Black that is 1/4 x 5 1/4.
I love that these stamps can be stamped opposite from each other. On the tags I stamped BIRTHDAY in the large letters in Cinnamon Cider and then embossed the happy in black. Stamp these on the brick patterned paper.
Cut the tag with the second largest of the Tailored Made Tags dies. I used the more plain tags. These dies also have dies to add around the hole in the tag. I love that look!
Cut an additional tag from the black and white check from the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper.
Add these together with the black twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack. Add tags to the card with dimensionals.
Finish off the card with the Matte Black Dots.
For my 3D project, I used the Mini Paper Pumpkin Box. I filled it with Tootsie Rolls. They are one of my husband's favorites.
The top of the box has a layer of the black and white check measuring 3 5/8 x 5 1/2. Add a piece of the brick paper that measures 2 x 3 5/8 and another 1/4 inch strip of Basic Black.
Make the tag in the same way with the wood print designer paper. Add to the card with dimensionals.
Add the Matte Black Dots.
I did decorate the sides of the box with the brick paper. You need 2 that are 7/8 x 3 5/8 and two that are 7/8 x 5 5/8.
I LOVE THAT BRICK DESIGNER PAPER! It was really hard to cut it.
