Luv 2 Stamp Blog Hop Quiet Meadow Bundle

Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Blog Hop.
This group is part of Patty Bennett's Luv 2 Stamp group of stampers. More about joining Stampin' Up! at the end! Be sure to look for it. You may be beginning here for the hop, but you'll want to see everyone. Each of the hoppers will showcase some of the new products from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. We love new stuff and we love passing along a few tips to help you be successful when stamping. You may have come from Jason's blog post. I love that necklace box! Don't you! I chose to use the Quiet Meadow bundle with the Meadow dies. I also used the Scalloped Contours dies.
For the first card, I created a monochromatic card using Gray Granite. I love all the stamps in the set. They are perfect for making easy backgrounds.
This card starts with a Gray Granite base that is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4. For the base, stamp the long stamp with words a few times at the top and the bottom. Add the flowers at end corner. The center of the card will be covered so don't worry about how that looks. We are using Basic Gray ink.
Stamp the Basic White layer with the words as well. I stamped down the whole layer. Add some of the dots around the edges and some of the single flowers. This layer measures 3 1/2 x 4 3/4. Use a Blending Brush to add a little shading around the outside of the layer. Add to the base at an angle.
The Gray Granite layer is from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. It is cut out using the Scalloped Contours dies. I used the 2nd largest rectangle die. Stamp this layer the same. I did stamp off. For a few of the dots I did not stamp off.
Cut out the flower from Basic White. Back the card stock with some of the Adhesive Sheets. Stamp the flower with the words and use a Blending Brush to add just a little shading. Pull the adhesive backing from the flower and add to the card. It becomes a sticker so it's easy to adhere. Trim the stem.
Add a length of the Basic Gray twine from the Well Suited Twine Combo Pack. I like to tape from the back. Add some of the Foam Adhesive Sheets to the back or dimensionals. Add the layer to the card front straight.
Add the saying, die in the Meadows dies, and a bow from the gray twine.
This is my second card. This card has a base of Thick Basic White 4 1/4 x 11, score and fold at 5 1/2.
I used the In Good Taste DSP for this card as well. The first layer is cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 to cover the entire front. Glue. The bottom piece is 1 x 4 1/4. Add along the bottom. The vase is punched with the Jar Punch. This paper is also from the In Good Taste. Use a Blender Brush to add a little Night of Navy ink to soften the white. Add a length of the Night of Navy twine from the Well Suited pack around the top. Add some of the Foam Adhesive Sheet to the back and add to the center of the card.
Cut two of the leaves stem from Evening Evergreen. I did cover the back of the card stock with Adhesive Sheets. Add one coming from the upper right. Trim the stem just below the jar and stick it under. Do the same for the second leaf stem. You might have to cut off part of it. Just relocate.
Cut three of the flower stems from Basic White with an Adhesive Sheet backing. Color these stems using Blending Brushes and Sponge Daubers. I used Soft Succulent, Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, and Night of Navy. After coloring the flowers, spray with a spritzer filled with water. Allow to dry. This will add a little interest.
Add butterflies that have been colored with dimensionals.
Add the tag and a bow of Night of Navy twine.
