Free Tutorial Friday Birds and Branches
May 21, 2021
It's Friday! I have a great tutorial for you today using the Birds and Branches stamp set and the Birds & More dies. I did not create this card. I wish I had!
This card is so pretty! Here are the details and measurements.
Birds and Branches
Supplies:
Stamps: Birds and Branches (152570) and Etched In Nature (155463)
Dies: Birds and More Dies (152721)
Cardstock: Basic White (159276), Neutrals (146977), and Pale Papaya (155668)
Designer Series Paper (DSP): Beauty of the Earth (155841)
Inks: Soft Suede (147115) and Bumblebee (153116)
Blends: Crumb Cake (154882), Poppy Parade (154958), Just Jade (152893), and Basic Black (154843)
Embellishments: Holiday Rhinestones (150457)
Tools & Accessories: Bone Folder (102300), Fine Tip Glue Pen (138309), Stampin Dimensionals (104430)
Measurements for Cardstock:
Early Espresso cardstock for card base: 11” x 4 ¼” and score at 5 ½”
Basic White cardstock: Scrap
DSP: 4” x 5 ¼” and 3 ½” x 3 ½” and a scrap
Instructions:
Fold and score your cardbase.
Use the scrap of Basic White cardstock and the Stampin’ Inks to two-step stamp the bird and then his feet.
Use the dies to cut the center of the DSP, the right side edge of leaves, the tree branch, and the bird’s body and feet.
Use the Blends to color the tree branch.
Adhere the 3 ½” x 3 ½” piece of DSP to cover the hole in the center of the DSP. Adhere the DSP to the Early Espresso card base.
Adhere the tree branch to the top of the card. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the bird to the branch.
Stamp the sentiment on a scrap of Basic White cardstock. Adhere the sentiment to a scrap of the DSP and then glue to the card front. Add the green Holiday Rhinestones.
Place the golden Holiday Rhinestones on the tree branch berries. (The Poppy Parade berries were just too bright on the branch so I toned them down with the rhinestones.)
