I love Thursdays! It's time for the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. Challenge 657 is a sketch.
I thought I would use some of my True Love Designer Series Paper for this card. Retirement is coming up for this paper at the end of June and I still have lots to use. I may be making several of these cards to send. I absolutely love how it turned out. Who wouldn't want to receive this card!
The base of this card is Thick Basic White measuring 4 1/4 x 11. Score and fold at 5 1/2.
The daisy paper from the True Love Designer Series Paper is cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 to cover the entire front of the card. The diagonal paper measures 3 x 4.
The Crushed Curry dotted paper is 3/4 x 3 5/8. It comes from the Regals 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper.
Cut a circle from the dotted True Love DSP with the 2nd largest circle from the Stitched Shapes dies.
For the dandelion, use the Dandy Wishes dies. Cut the long stem and the two dandelion leaves from Pear Pizzazz. Cut the flower part of the long stem and the 3 other sizes of flowers from So Saffron card stock. Use a Blending Brush and a Crushed Curry pad to add additional color to the flower pieces. I did not color the entire piece but only parts.
Trim away the green flower part of the stem leaving a small part to attach the large So Saffron flower. Glue down the green stem part and the leaves. The leaves will extend beyond the circle. Just turn the circle over and trim off the pieces. Add the largest saffron flower putting glue only in the center. Add each layer the same turn the petals so that they vary and adding glue just to the center. After drying go back and fluff up the petals of the flower.
Add the circle with dimensionals.
Add some of the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots as an embellishment. These are retiring soon by the way.
For the inside stamp the wildflowers in Memento ink. This stamp is in the Dragonfly Garden stamp set. The saying is also from this set. Add some of the diagonal True Love DSP that measures 1/2 x 4 1/4.
