It's Thursday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #651. Today we have a sketch.
I have a granddaughter Sagan who loves Baby Shark so I had to get the Shark Frenzy bundle. This is my first card using the set, but it won't be my last! It pairs lovely with the Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper.
So here are the details. It's all on a card base of Thick Basic White measuring 4 1/4 x 11. Score and fold at 5 1/2.
Pick two different papers from the Whale of a Time designer paper. Cut them both to the card size, 4 1/2 x 5 1/2. I cut the two papers together. Turn to the back of the paper stack and use a straight edge to draw a line from diagonal to diagonal both ways. I turned to the back so the lines won't show. You probably would not need to draw a line for the first cut, but you'll need it for the next cuts. It would be hard to draw then.
Glue the pieces to the card front so that the same pattern is at the top and bottom and the same pattern is on the sides. Try to butt the papers next to each other in order to cover the card base.
Use the Stitched Shapes dies, the largest circle, to cut a circle from the Whale of a Time pack of the blue waves. I cut two of the circles just the same. Glue one to the center of the card.
Stamp the large shark outline and the small shark outline on Basic White card stock using Memento ink. Stamp the color section for each. I used Calypso Coral for the large one and Just Jade for the small. Use a well inked pad. It's easy to stamp the solid part since the stamps are photopolymer. Also stamp the bow and mustache. Color the bow with the Dark Calypso Coral blend. Use the Shark dies to cut out the two sharks and the bow and mustache. Cut the hat shape from Basic Black.
Add the sharks to the circle with dimensionals. Take the second circle and cut away the bottom along the waves. Add on with dimensionals so that it is directly over the other circle and covers just a little of the sharks so that it appears they are behind the waves.
Stamp the saying in Pacific Point ink on Balmy Blue card stock. Fussy cut around. Cut the saying in half. Stamp the I Love You in Calypso Coral on Basic White. Trim around with a trimmer. Place the saying. You'll want to place the blue pieces so that they jut out of the white saying. Use glue and dimensionals.
So I have Gramps shark on the outside of the card and Grammie on the inside.
Stamp the sharks directly on the inside of the card. Add the color section. Stamp the saying again in Calypso Coral. Stamp the bow and hat and scrap white. Color the bow and hat. The hat used Light Soft Suede and Dark Calypso Coral blends. Cut with the dies and glue. Cut a wave section from the Whale of a Time paper and add to the bottom of the page. Turn to the back and trim if needed.
Of course, I'll be mailing this to Sagan. I think she'll love it!
Thanks for stopping by today. I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and I would love to help you. Let me know what I can do for you!
Free class with a $50 order using Host Code. See below.
Now I would like to introduce a new class that you can get free with a $50 purchase using the Host Code U9YDQAQK. Of course, you would not use the code should your order be over $150. You will get
A card holder already folded for you, but with a link to directions. Papers for the folder may vary from within the Field & Flower DSP pack.

PDF and link to a video.
IF you would like to purchase the kit, the cost will be $15 plus shipping if that applies. Please email me at email@example.com. I'm new to the shipping thing. I think $2 should cover that.
Should the host code end up with at least $300 in sales by Feb.28th, I'll have a drawing of those submitting orders of $50 or more on there for the Free Host Reward of the Punch Party stamp set pictured on page 17.
