Facebook Live 2.17.2021 Two Versions of the Swing Fold Card

Happy Saturday!  Today I'm sharing my Facebook Live from this past Wednesday, February 17th.  We are making two versions of a Swing Fold card.  We'll be using the Sweet Ice Cream bundle with the Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch and the Sweet Strawberry bundle with the Strawberry Builder Punch.  Unfortunately, both of these punches are on the not orderable list.  The projected date is February 22nd.  Let's keep our fingers crossed!  I think you are going to love these cards.

So the measurements for these cards are the same.  The card base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4.

The designer paper on the front is 4 x 5 1/4.  Add to the front of the card with glue around the outside edges.  Open the card and cut out with a shape.  I used the Stitched Nested Labels for one and the Stitched So Sweetly dies for the other.  Cut out of the center of the card front.  Any shape would work here.

The insert inside measures 5 1/4 x 8.  Score at 2, 4, and 6.  The sentiment for the card will go on the far right.  Go ahead and stamp it.  I used the Stamparatus in case I wanted the sentiment to be darker.  Fold the insert in half with the sentiment showing on top.  Now fold the insert over on top of itself.  I messed this up on the first card so pay attention to the second one.  Sorry about that.

Glue down the 2 inch section with the sentiment to the right side of the inside of the card where it would normally go.

If you want to put in designer paper on the next two sections, now is the time.  Each would measure 1 7/8 x 5 3/8.

Cut a shape from Basic White the exactly the same as the cut out.  Decorate the piece as you wish.

Fold the insert so that it lies flat with the left section where the left side of the layer would usually go.  When you close the card, you'll see 1/2 of the layer with the designer paper through the opening you cut.  Put glue on the little half section only.  Add your decorated shape right through the opening in the card front.  Only half of it will adhere.

Open the card.  Add glue to the left hand section.  The glue will go on top of this section.  Do not put any glue under the decorated insert, but you can go around it.  Shut the card and glue this section to the front.

Here is the video and I'll follow with my pictures.  I think I probably got a little wordy up there!

For the first card, the base was Blackberry Bliss.  The Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper was used.  I added a bow of the Blackberry Bliss Striped Sheer Ribbon and added some of the Purple Posy dots from the Ice Cream Corner Sprinkles.  I used the Sweet Ice Cream bundle with the Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch.

For the second card, I used Pacific Point for the card base.  I used the Sweet Strawberry stamp set.  The Sale-a-Bration free items Berry Blessings + Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper was also used.  Add some of the Elegant Faceted Gems on the front.  I added a bow of White Crinkled Seam Binding.  I stamped the Stitched So Sweetly piece with Garden Green, Night of Navy, and Pacific Point ink.  Stamp off the inks for the inside of the leaves and berries.

In Bloom Note Card Class Teaser 2 by Jo Anne Hewins

Now I would like to introduce a new class that you can get free with a $50 purchase using the Host Code U9YDQAQK.  Of course, you would not use the code should your order be over $150.  You would earn your own rewards.  This class is a card holder made from a 12 x 12 piece of patterned paper and 4 note cards with envelopes.  The class uses the Field & Flowers Designer Series Paper, a free Sale-a-Bration choice with a $50 purchase, and the In Bloom bundle.  In fact, ordering the In Bloom Bundle, at a 10% savings, for $48.50, already has you almost to $50.  Just add one more item!  Offer begins January 19th through February 28th.

You will get

A card holder already folded for you, but with a link to directions.  Papers for the folder may vary from within the Field & Flower DSP pack.

Four Note Cards & Envelopes

Paper cut and In Bloom parts cut for each card, ready to assemble.

PDF and link to a video.

IF you would like to purchase the kit, the cost will be $15 plus shipping if that applies.  Please email me at johewins@gmail.com.  I'm new to the shipping thing.  I think $2 should cover that.

Should the host code end up with at least $300 in sales by Feb.28th, I'll have a drawing of those submitting orders of $50 or more on there for the Free Host Reward of the Punch Party stamp set pictured on page 17.
