Color Fusers Blog Hop for February, 2021
February 01, 2021
Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for February. We are using the colors Gorgeous Grape, Magenta Madness, and Bermuda Bay.
You might have just come from Tammi Hewlett's blog. Wow! She is amazing! I'm so happy you have joined me. I'm using the Wild Roses background stamp from the Jan-June Mini Catalog. This stamp is so gorgeous that making a beautiful card is a snap!
Start with a card base of Thick Basic White that is 4 1/4 x 11. Score and fold at 5 1/2.
The next layer is Basic White cut to 4 1/8 x 4 3/8.
The Wild Roses stamp is a large stamp. I would recommend using the Stamparatus for your stamping. Since you are stamping the entire paper, use a little bit of seal under the paper to hold. Just use a little. Stamp in Gorgeous Grape. I did need to ink and stamp several times to get a good dark solid image. It depends on how juicy you have your stamp.
Carefully lift the layer from the Stamparatus. You might want to let it sit a few moments just to make sure all is dry.
The Blending Brushes are wonderful and a lot of fun. I have one for each color group, reds, blues, purples, orange, etc. Load up the brush and start off of the paper when brushing. Start soft. You can always add more ink, but it can't be taken away. I started at the bottom with the Magenta Madness, then moved on to the Gorgeous Grape, and ended with the Bermuda Bay. It's so easy and so pretty!
Glue the layer to the card base.
Add a length of the Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon around the front of the card. Tape the ends under where the sentiment will be. The saying is from the Friends are Like Seashells stamp set. Stamp on a Basic White scrap in Grape. Cut it out using the Ornate Frames dies. Add the label with dimensionals. Add the dimensionals out near the edges so that they are not just on the ribbon. Add a ribbon bow with glue dots.
To add a little interest add a few of the Elegant Faceted Gems.
Now the final touch is a few sprays of Champagne Shimmer Mist. Get out that spritzer and let it go!
Here is the inside of the card. The saying is from the Friends are Like Seashells stamp set. Those sentiments are perfect! The stamped part is done on a piece of 2 x 4 1/8 Basic White. I love it!
Thanks so much for spending a little time with me today. You'll want to see all of the stampers on our Color Fusers hop. You'll see some great ideas using these color. They are quite beautiful together. Next up is Gail Ellis. She is fantastic!
