The Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #652 is a color challenge. We are to use the colors Highland Heather, Seaside Spray, and Just Jade. Those colors scream spring!
I'm using the stamp set Springtime Joy from page 22 of the Jan-June Mini catalog.
The base for this card is Just Jade 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score and fold at 4 1/4. The Basic White layer is 4 x 5 1/4. Run it through the Cut & Emboss Machine with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. Glue to the base.
Cut a piece of the Just Jade dotted paper from the 2020-2022 In Color Designer Series Paper to 3 x 4. Add it to the base in the center but slanted. The Highland Heather dots paper is from the Subtles 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper. It measures 2 3/4 x 3 3/4. Place it straight on the card. Cut a banner from Seaside Spray using the Stitched So Sweetly dies. Add in the center of the heather dots.
Stamp the lamb on a piece of Basic White. Use the Light Smoky Slate Blend to add some shadows on the lamb. Trace over the lines already on the lamb. Go over all of this with the Color Lifter. Color the feet with Light Smoky Slate. Color the crown of flowers in blends: Highland Heather combo, Seaside Spray combo, and Old Olive combo. Fussy cut the lamb.
Cut some grass from the Just Jade card stock using the Dandy Wishes dies. Use the large grass and cut 4 of them. Glue these kind of behind the lamb.
Add the lamb with dimensionals. Stamp the saying on a piece of Basic White in Just jade and then trim it down. Add with dimensionals and slip it under the feet of the lamb.
For the inside of the card, stamp the saying in Memento Black. Stamp the lamb and the bunny and color them as you did on the front of the card.
I love this stamp set so much, that I'm making a class that you can earn for free during March. Here is just a little teaser. I'll be sharing all of it with you soon.
Thanks for your time today. Now go stamp something!
