Oh Snap Crocodile

I have to admit that I am more inclined to buy the cute sets since I have my sweet Sagan (granddaughter).  Oh Snap is definitely a cute set.  Here's my card.

Oh Snap! by Jo Anne Hewins

I did do a bit of fussy cutting for this card, but it was well worth it.

The card base is Shaded Spruce cut to 5 1/5 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.

My next layer is Basic White 4 x 5 1/4.

Stamp the crocodile in Memento Black.  This is a big stamp.  I recommend that you use the Stamparatus.  This way you can stamp more than once and get a good image.

The patterned paper is from the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper.  This is where the Stamparatus is a must.  Stamp the crocodile directly on the designer paper.  Stamp several times so that the image is dark and heavy.  You want to be able to see it well in order to cut.  Cut out the crocodile just on the outside of the black lines.  Cut off the teeth!  Add the image of the crocodile on top of the stamped image.  Now you have the green crocodile with white teeth!  This technique is called Paper Piecing.

This crocodile needs a little water, doesn't he?  Add the little pool using Pool Party ink.  Use the Stamparatus again.  This is a solid stamp.  I did stamp mine two times.

Add the frog and the bird.  Color the frog with the Granny Apple Green Combo blends and the bird with the Pool Party Combo blends.

Add the sayings from Oh Snap in Memento Black.

Tie a length of Linen Thread around the spine of the card and tie into a bow.
