Dandy Garden Memories & More Cards & Envelopes

The Dandy Garden Suite from the January-June Mini Catalog are really pretty.  There are 20 total bases and 20 envelopes.  The folded card size is 4  1/4 x 6 1/4.  The card front is white with the dandelion stems in Bumblebee.  The flap of the is Bumblebee with white dandelion stems.  Truly pretty!

Dandy Garden Memories & More Cards & Envelopes by Jo Anne Hewins

I was playing around with them recently and made this card also using the Dandy Garden 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper and a few other items from the Dandy Garden Suite.

Garden Wishes Note Cards & Envelopes from Dandy Garden Suite by Jo Anne Hewins

The Blackberry Bliss layer is 3 1/8 x 5 1/8.  Next is a layer of the Dandy Garden 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper.  It is cut to 3 x 5.

The dandelion pieces are cut from Bumblebee card stock.  Glue to the card front.  You might want to consider using the Adhesive Sheets under the card stock.  That turns the dandelions into stickers.  You'll need 3 dandelions.

The little banner is also from the Dandy Garden pack.  It is cut to 3/4 x 4 1/4.  Trim each end using the Banners Pick a Punch.  Glue to the card.

Stamp the saying on Basic White in Mossy Meadow.  Cut out using the Potted Succulents dies.  Glue to the card.

Fussy cut one of the tiny dragonflies from a piece the Dandy Garden designer paper and add.

Finish the front with a bow made from the Mossy Meadow Braided Linen Twine.

Facebook Live: Ice Cream Corner Suite Cards

For my Facebook Live this past Wednesday, we explored the Ice Cream Corner Suite.  I'll add the video a little later in this post, but I do have some pictures for you first.

Ice Cream Corner Suite Card by Jo Anne Hewins

This is one of the cards we made.  The base of the card is Thick Whisper White.  Cut 1 inch from the bottom of the card front.  On the inside of the card, add the popsicle paper from the Ice Cream Corner Designer Series paper cut at 1 1/8 x 4 1/4.  The Blackberry diagonal print paper is cut to 1/4 x 4 1/4.  Add this to the edge of the front of the card.

Ink colors used are Bermuda Bay, Blackberry Bliss, and Cinnamon Cider.

Ice Cream Corner Suite Card Drops with Dauber by Jo Anne Hewins

For the drops, ink in Bermuda Bay.  Add a little Blackberry Bliss along the bottom of the drop by adding the color with a sponge dauber directly to the stamp.

Ice Cream Corner Suite Masked Cone by Jo Anne Hewins

The second card was made with the Basic White Note Cards & Envelopes (not available yet).  I used the Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch and the Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper for the ice cream and birthday hat.  It's on the video.

Ice Cream Corner Suite Stamped Masked Cone by Jo Anne Hewins

We also talked about the way to stamp the ice cream cone using a mask.  Start from the top and work down.  Colors in this paper are Cinnamon Cider, Blackberry Bliss, Purple Posy, Old Olive, Soft Sea Foam, Terracotta Tile, Pool Party, Bumblebee, So Saffron, Bermuda Bay, and Petal Pink.

Ice Cream Corner Suite Ice Cream Colors by Jo Anne Hewins

We talked about the colors in the Ice Cream Corner paper and I showed some of the many possibilities.  I think it would look great to add come color to the bottom of the ice cream stamp with a sponge dauber to add a little more color.  Try it!

Dragonfly Garden

Supplies:

Stamp Sets: Dragonfly Garden (154411)

Cardstock: Thick Whisper White (140272), Whisper White (100730)

Ink: Memento Pad (132708), Blackberry Bliss (147092)

Designer Paper: Dandy Garden 6 x 6 (154297)

Measurements:

Card Base: Thick Whisper White 4 1/4 x 11, score at 5 ½

Cardstock #2: Whisper White 2 ½ x 5 ½, 2 ½ x 5, and a scrap

Designer Paper #1: Blackberry Bliss from Dandy Garden 4 ¼ x 5 ½

Instructions:

Fold card and half and burnish with Bone Folder.

Glue the Dandy Garden designer paper to the front of the card. Look on the back and trim any excess. If the designer paper layer is a little short, trim the base so that no white shows.

Emboss the Whisper White 2 ½ x 5 ½ piece with the Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder. Use your Grid Paper to find the center of the card to add this piece. Grid lines will help keep the layer straight.

Stamp the large flower bouquet on the other piece of Whisper White with the Memento pad. Color using Granny Apple Green, Crushed Curry, and Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write Markers. Fussy cut. This cut out will go onto the white layer on the card. Don’t worry a lot about the cutting. Leave a little border and it will all blend in.

Wind the Linen Thread around the bottom of the bouquet taping to the back. Add the bouquet with dimensionals.

Add a bow of Linen Thread to the card with a glue dot.

Stamp the saying from Dragonfly Garden in Blackberry Bliss on a white scrap. Cut out with the Little Treat Box dies. Tie this onto the card.

Add one of the Ladybug Trinkets with a glue dot.
