Snow Wonder for an Easy Christmas Card

Free Tuesday Tutorial In the Pines Bundle

Today's Free Tutorial features the In the Pines Bundle.  I am a lover of trees.  This was one of the first bundles that I purchased from the August-December Mini.  The card today was designed by me.  It's a fun fold.

Designer Paper #2: In Good Taste Light Wood for largest oval of Stitched Shapes at 2 ¾ x 3 ½

Adhesive Sheets for Snowflakes and Trees, two at 4 x 4

Instructions:

Glue the two thin strips of dark wood from In Good Taste to the sides of the card front. This is a hamburger, long way, card. Watch your spacing around the edges.

Fold and burnish the long piece of Early Espresso card stock. Glue this piece to the card front between the two designer paper pieces. Spacing should be about the same.

Stamp the Whisper White insert. The saying is in Shaded Spruce ink and is from the In the Pines stamp set. Stamp with the four trees stamp at the bottom in Shaded Spruce. Stamp off Shaded Spruce to color the inside of the trees with this more solid stamp. Glue to the inside of the card.

Line the Whisper White card stock on one side with Adhesive Sheets cut to 4 x 4. Cut out the snowflakes using the So Many Snowflakes dies. Peal off the back to add the snowflakes. Note that some of the snowflakes will be covered with the oval, so they could possibly be cut in half.

Cut the light wood designer paper with the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes dies. With a scrap of Whisper White cut another piece with the largest oval that could represent the snow at the bottom of the oval. Glue this to the bottom of the oval. If there is room on your scrap with the Adhesive Sheets, that could be used for this piece. Glue to the center of the card front.

Add Adhesive Sheets to the back of the Shaded Spruce piece and cut out 1 large detailed tree and 2 small detailed tree. Peal the backing and add to the card.

Add several of the Snowflake Sequins on the card front.

Stamp the saying from In the Pines in Shaded Spruce on a ½ inch of Whisper White scrap. Punch the ends with the Banners Pick a Punch. Add to the card with dimensionals.
