Masking Techniques, Stampin' Up!, and a Facebook Live

Happy Saturday. Today I want to share with you the cards I made in my Facebook Live. We used a tried but true technique called masking. Here are the 4 cards we made. I'll add the Facebook Live at the end.

Masking is easy yet very effective. Here is the first card we made.

I make a mask using a piece of card stock and the largest circle from the Layering Circles dies. I used a Blender Brush to add Pool Party ink inside the circle.

Whisper White: 3 1/2 x 4 3/4

Early Espresso: $ x 5 1/4

Base: Pool Party 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, fold at 4 1/4.

Stamp set: Winter Woods, saying, Dove of Hope

This card uses the new Dragonfly Garden stamp set available to demos December 1 and everyone on January 5th. Mark the areas lightly with a pencil that you plan to color. Use sticky notes to line off each side. Color with Blender Brushes.

Ink Colors: Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, Pear Pizzazz

Stamp set: Dragonfly Garden

Whisper White: 3 3/4 x 5

Balmy Blue: 3 7/8 x 5 1/8

Blackberry Bliss: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, fold at 4 1/4

To get the trees behind the snowman, stamp the snowman first. Stamp the snowman on a sticky note making sure to get part of him on the sticky. Cut on the lines. Place on top of the snowman and stamp the trees.

It's an easy technique.

Ink: Memento Black, Garden Green, Balmy Blue

Stamp set: Snow Wonder

Blends: Night of Navy Combo, Granny Apple Green combo, Real Red Combo, Pumpkin Pie Combo

Whisper White: 3 3/4 x 5

Night of Navy: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, fold at 4 1/4

For this card a sticky note mask was made for the flower. Stamp the bottom flower first. Apply mask to flower, stamp second flower and leaves. Add saying.

Stamp set: Healing Hugs

Designer Paper: Peony Garden, 2 3/4 x 5 1/2

Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Garden Green

Celebration Labels dies

Blackberry Bliss: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, fold at 4 1/4

Whisper White: 3 3/4 x 5
