Color Fusers Blog Hop for October, 2020
October 05, 2020
Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for October. This month we are using the colors Cinnamon Cider, Crumb Cake, and Cherry Cobbler. I'm so glad you are joining us. We hop the first Monday of the month. You might have just come from Melissa's blog. Wow!
Don't these colors remind you of fall. Of course I thought of the Love of Leaves bundle right away. Here is my card.
There really isn't a lot of stamping on this card. There are lots of die cuts. Here are the details.
The card base is Cherry Cobbler measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4. The next layer is Crumb Cake cut to 4 x 5 1/4.
The Very Vanilla layer is 3 7/8 x 5 1/8.
Cut all the leaves from Cherry Cobbler, Cinnamon Cider, and Crumb Cake using the Stitched Leaves dies. They will fit on a piece of 5 x 5 1/2 paper. You will want to cut the leaf and also emboss the inside of the leaf at the same time. For real ease I suggest that you use the new Adhesive Sheets on the back.
Lay out the leaves on the vanilla paper as you wish. Then one by one peal off the backing and add to the layer.
Adhere the vanilla layer to the Crumb Cake layer.
Wrap Linen Thread around this layer 3 times and tape to the back. Add all to the card front.
Now, using the Sunflowers dies, cut one of the largest solid flower and 2 of the largest detailed flowers in Cherry Cobbler. Crush each layer in your hand and gently fold back out. The smallest leaf in Cinnamon Cider will fit behind the center of one of the detailed flowers. Add all of the layers of the flower together with glue. Glue to the card front.
On a piece of vanilla scrap, stamp the word HELLO in a line. Cut out using the banner from the Tasteful Labels dies. Curl with a Bone Folder. Attach each end with a glue dot. One end is in the flower center and the other end is outside the flower.
Fold over some Linen Thread several times and tie into a knot. Trim the ends. Add by the center of the flower over the label.
Add a few of the clear Elegant Faceted Gems.
For the inside of the card, the saying from Love of Leaves. Stamp in Cherry Cobbler. Add some of the left over leaves.
Thanks so much for joining the Color Fusers Blog Hop today. I hope you will visit everyone on the hop. Nicolle is up next. You don't want to miss her project!
