Loving the In the Pines Bundle

Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  This week we have a sketch for you.  I am using the In the Pines bundle.  It's on page of the August-September Mini catalog.  I shared another card with this bundle here.  I guess I have a thing for trees.  These trees are lovely.  Here is my card.

You might think Christmas right away, but this card doesn't necessarily have to be Christmas.  Maybe it's just winter.  This is a busy sketch.

Yes, there's a lot going on here.  It was fun!

Start with a base of Thick Whisper White that is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4.  The patterned paper is from the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper.  Cut the background DSP to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.

So, I'm going to describe each patterned paper and tell you its measurements.

The Mossy Meadow paper with Pear Pizzazz dots is 3 x 4 1/2.

The Mossy Meadow check is 1 x 5 1/8.  You will need 2 of these.

The diagonal stripe is cut with the Stitched Rectangles dies.  Use the second die from the outside.  You will need three of these.  Add the one in the middle first and then add the ends centering them between the middle piece and the end of the mossy dot paper.

The saying is from the In the Pines stamp set.  Stamp in Real Red on Whisper White and fussy cut it out.  Glue to the upper left corner of the stitched rectangles.

Use the Pine Woods dies to make the trees.  Make one large and two of the smaller (three if you are going to put one inside the card).   Each tree has two parts.  The solid part is cut using Mossy Meadow cardstock.  The detailed part is cut from Pear Pizzazz.  I suggest that you add Adhesive Sheets to the back of this cardstock before cutting the trees.  The pieces will go together super easy!  Glue the trees to the rectangles.

Add another tree to the inside of the card.  The saying, stamped in Real Red, is from the Tasteful Touches stamp set.
