Love of Leaves in Blue and Pink

Last week, the Color Fusers Team had its September hop.  If you want to see it go here.  Our colors were Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, and Melon Mambo.  For some reason I had trouble with this one.  They are great colors together.  I don't know what my problem was.  I ended up with two cards with this color combination.  Here is the second one.

I couldn't decide which card to use.  You'll have to let me know which card you like best.  This card uses the Love of Leaves bundle.

This card has a card base of Night of Navy measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.

The next layer is Whisper White.  I just wanted a little border, so this is cut to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8.  Stamp over this layer using the leaves from Love of Leaves.  Stamp the Night of Navy leaf first since it is the largest.  Next add in the Melon Mambo.  Fill in with other leaves using Balmy Blue and more Night of Navy.  Use the Stitched Leaves dies to add the veins to all of the leaves.  Do as many as possible at one time and then finish up the rest.

With a Water Painter and ink in the lid of the Balmy Blue pad, add sprinkles by tapping the Water Painter against an extended finger.

Cut the label from Whisper White using the Celebration Labels dies.  Use the 4th one from the outside.  Stamp the saying from Love of Leaves in Night of Navy near the bottom.  Add with dimensionals.

Cut out the largest leaf in Night of Navy card stock, the next largest in Melon Mambo, and 2 leaves in Balmy Blue.  With the Stitched Leaves dies, you can cut out the leaf and put in the vein markings at the same time.  It's so cute.  Add the leaves with glue.

Add a bow with the gold trim.  It's from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack.  Add with a glue dot.  This is not the easiest ribbon to use.  It does unravel.

Cut some stems in Gold Foil using the Poinsettia dies.  Glue carefully.  Some will extend over the label.  You will need to tuck some under the leaves.  Some of the stems will need to be trimmed.

On the inside of the card, the saying is from Love of Leaves.  Stamp three leaves, add in the veins with the dies.  Flick more Balmy Blue dots as on the front.
