Poinsettia Petals Postage Stamp Card
August 12, 2020
I know it's just August but I have new Christmas supplies. I just had to use them! Here is my card using the Poinsettia Petals bundle and the Postage Stamp Punch.
Start with a card base of Shaded Spruce. This is fast becoming my favorite green! The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4. Stamp over the front of the card base with the dots from Christmas Gleaming. Use Shaded Spruce ink.
The 'Tis the Season 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper is used for this card. Pick four patterns and stamp with the Postage Stamp Punch. Add these with glue to the card. They could be added with dimensionals, but I was trying to think about mailing this out. There's more to come! Be careful with the spacing around the outside of the card and the spacing between each punch out.
The flower is cut from Cherry Cobbler cardstock. Cut one of the smallest flower and 2 of the next smallest. Add the flower cut out askew so that all the petals are showing. Add with glue or a glue dot. Fluff up the petals to give a little dimension. Cut out three of the holly leaves from Shaded Spruce using the Poinsettia dies. Add the leaves behind the flower, two on one side and one on the other. Add three of the Basic Pearls to the center of the flower. This is close to the Beaded Pearls sold in this suite, but a little less bulky. Add to the center of the card with dimensionals.
The saying is from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set. Stamp in Cherry Cobbler on Whisper White and punch out with the Classic Label Punch. Add with dimensionals.
The inside of the card has a saying from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set. Stamp in Cherry Cobbler. Add more of the dots stamp from Christmas Gleaming in Shaded Spruce.
There you have it. The Poinsettia Petal Bundle is so pretty. You might also want to check out the 'Tis the Season Designer Series Paper. It's definitely great for those Christmas cards!
