Poinsettia Petals Postage Stamp Card

Cute Fruit Makes a Great Watermelon Card

The Cute Fruit stamp set is in the Beginner Brochure.  You won't find it in the Annual Catalog.  I think the best part about this stamp set is the faces.  They are so cute.  So my watermelon had to have a smiley face of course.

The base of my card is Melon Mambo measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.

The front layer is Whisper White that is 4 x 5 1/2.  I suggest that you stamp the Melon Mambo part of the watermelon first.  Just stamp over the white layer randomly.  I do have some parts that go off the edge of the paper.

Now stamp the rind of the watermelon in Garden Green.  Don't worry about perfection.  Just do your best.

Stamp another watermelon on scrap white and cut out with your snips.  Add a smiley face with the Memento Black.

I just felt like something was needed to fill in the spaces, so I used the dots from the Comfort & Hope stamp set.  Stamp in Melon Mambo.

Use a 1 inch strip of Whisper White for the label.  Stamp the saying from Cute Fruit in Memento Black.  Use the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch for the end.  Cut the other end straight.  Add the saying with dimensionals.  Then add the watermelon slice with dimensionals.

Here's the inside of the card.  Stamp the watermelon slice in the lower corner and add some of the dots.  Stamp the saying from Cute Fruit in Memento.
