Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for June. This time we are using Petal Pink, Melon Mambo, and Pool Party. I'm so glad that you are here! Please make sure that you visit all the posts for this hop. You'll get lots of great ideas for this color combination.
Here is my offering for the hop.
This card features the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle. The Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and the Sunflowers dies team up for this bundle.
Start with a card base of Thick Whisper White that is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score, and fold at 4 1/4. Stamp over the card front in Pool Party ink with the dots stamp from the Forever Fern stamp set.
Add a strip of Melon Mambo card stock that is 1 x 5. Run this through your die cutting machine with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder. Glue to the card just below the middle.
The saying is stamped in Pool Party. It's from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set. Stamp right above the mambo strip and to the right.
Stamp the large sunflower in Melon Mambo ink on Whisper White card stock. Color this using the Light and Dark Petal Pink Blends. All a little Light Pool Party also. Color the center of the flower with a Light Pool Party Blend, too.
Cut three of the detailed leaves with the Sunflower dies. Also cut out the flower.
Add the sunflower to the left of the card with dimensionals. Use glue dots to adhere the leaves just under the flower.
Color about 5" of some Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding with a Dark Pool Party Blend. Fold in half and adhere under the flower and leaves. Angle the ends of the ribbon.
The saying on the inside of the card is from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set. Stamp in Pool Party. Use the Sunflowers dies to cut the sunflower outline from Melon Mambo card stock. Glue inside the card.
Thanks so much for joining me today. I know you will enjoy the other projects you see on the hop.
