Arrange a Wreath for Christmas
June 27, 2020
I've been playing with the Arrange a Wreath bundle, Arrange a Wreath stamp set and Wreath Builders dies. It's a lot of fun and a stamp set for all seasons, too. A wreath is always in style! I know it's a little early for Christmas, but why not!
I think this card will be part of a Christmas card class coming up. It's so cute!
The base is Real Red card stock cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded in half at 4 1/4.
The next layer is Whisper White. It measures 4 x 5 1/4. Run it through the die cut machine with the Dainty Diamonds Embossing Folder. That folder is so, well, dainty. Good name, Stampin' Up!
For the wreath, you will need a piece of Shaded Spruce and a piece of Just Jade both cut to 4 x 4. Cut the Shaded Spruce with the leaves wreath die. Cut the Just Jade with the more detailed wreath die. To adhere, I put the Multipurpose Liquid Glue around the center of these cut outs very lightly. Glue the Shaded Spruce one first and then the Just Jade over the top.
The pears in the stamp set stamp two at a time. The dies also cut two at a time. What a time saver! For the pears, ink first in Crushed Curry. With a Sponge Dauber, stamp a little bit of Granny Apple Green around the bottom directly on the stamp before stamping. That add just a little bit of extra color to the pear. Make five of these. You might as well make 6 since they are double and put one inside.
Ink first in Soft Suede for the partridge. Now with a sponge dauber, add some Early Espresso ink to the top of the bird. Now stamp and cut out.
Add the partridge with dimensionals just a little to the right bottom of the wreath.
Tie a bow using the Double Stitched Real Red Ribbon and add with a glue dot.
Space out the five pears and add with dimensionals.
Add lots and lots of the Red Rhinestones! They make it so pretty!
The saying is from the Arrange a Wreath stamp set. Stamp in Real Red on a white scrap and add with dimensionals.
Here's a video I made showing how to make this card.
I hope you'll try this card!
I'm so glad we could spend a little time together. Thanks so much for joining me!
