Friday Tutorial Dandelion Wishes by Cheryl Hamilton

It's Friday and I have a tutorial for you on Fridays!  This card is from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set.  It was created by Cheryl Hamilton.  I'm so glad that this stamp set is carrying over to the new catalog.  Here is the card!

I think this is beautiful!  Here are all the measurements and directions.

Supplies:

Stamp Sets: Dandelion Wishes (146747)

Cardstock: Thick Whisper White (140272), Bermuda Bay (131197), Blackberry Bliss (133675), Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper (149612)

Ink: Blackberry Bliss (147092), Versamark (102283)

Tools & Accessories: Pigment Sprinkles (149663), Stampin’ Spritzers (126185), Stitched So Sweetly Dies (151690), Heat Tool (129053), White Stampin’ Emboss Powder (149511), Embossing Buddy (103083), Dimensionals, Subtle 3D Embossing Folder (151775)

Measurements:

Thick Whisper White Card Base: 8 ½” x 5 ½”

Bermuda Bay: 5 3/8” x 4 1/8”

Blackberry Bliss: 5 3/8” x 2”

Watercolor Paper: 4 ¾” x 3”

Instructions:

Emboss dandelion image onto Watercolor Paper with White Embossing Powder

Sprinkle very small amount Pigment Sprinkles onto Watercolor Paper (I used Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green & Gorgeous Grape)

Spritz with water until you have the desired effect- then let it dry

Emboss Bermuda Bay using Subtle 3D then glue it onto Whisper White card base

Glue Blackberry Bliss paper onto Bermuda Bay, then glue the decorated Watercolor Paper on top’

Stamp sentiment using Blackberry Bliss on to Whisper White scratch paper then cut it out using Stitched So Sweetly Dies

Pop it up using Stampin’ Dimensionals

Good Bye to Little Elephant

Hello!  Today I have a card for you using the colors So Saffron, Seaside Spray, and Smoky Slate.  This is part of the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #613.

And here is my card for today.

Isn't this cute!  I'm a little sad to say goodbye to Little Elephant and the Elephant Builder Punch.  I sell a lot of my retired product, but I'm going to hold on to this one for a while.  Who knows when you might need a little elephant!

This card begins with a base of Seaside Spray that is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.

The next layer is So Saffron card stock that is 3 3/4 x 5.  

Next is a layer of Seaside Spray check (sorry sold out!).  Add a 1/4 strip of So Saffron check just to ground those elephants!

For the elephants and trees I used the Smoky Slate script paper from the Neutrals.  This is gone too.   In fact, all of the color family 6 x 6 papers are gone.  People know a good thing.  Let me brighten your day and tell you that scrumptious new color family papers are coming on June 3rd.  You will love them!

Punch the large elephant from the back of the script paper and the two smaller ones from the script side.  I want all of the elephants to face in the same direction.  Punch the ears from Smoky Slate check.  Sponge around the elephants and the ears with a sponge dauber and Smoky Slate ink.  This helps everything stand out a little better.  The trees are cut from the In the Tropics dies.  Sponge around them too.

Glue the trees.  Add the elephants with dimensionals.

The welcome is cut with the Well Written dies.  Cut from script So Saffron designer paper.  Stamp the saying from the Little Elephant stamp set in Slate and trim.  Glue all to the card front.

Here's the inside of the card.  Add trees, another elephant, and saying from Little Elephant.  The Little Elephant stamp set and the Elephant Builder Punch are both on the Last Chance Product List.  They'll be gone June 2nd or while supplies last.

Paper Share Details

 

I am going to offer Paper Shares for the new 2020 Stampin' Up! catalog.  Please email me if you are interested.  I cannot order until June 3rd.  It is possible that some of the paper will be on backorder at that time.  I'm not sure what the delivery schedule will be.  They are running behind at this time.  I will do my best to have as short a turnaround time as possible.  Shares will be in groups of 4.  When I get a group of 4, I will send you a bill through Paypal.  If you are local, you can pay locally.  Prices will include shipping, but I will only ship once at my cost.  I'll wait until I have everything.  There are 3 options in this share.

1. Designer Series Paper Share   This share includes Artistry Blooms, Forever Greenery, In Good Taste (12 pieces of 6 x 12), Ornate Garden Specialty, Peony Garden, Playful Pets, and World of Good.  These papers are 12 x 12.  You will get 6 pieces that are 6 x 12.  Also included are Flowers for Every Season, Playing with Patterns, and Whale of a Time.  These papers come in 6 x 6.  You will get 12 sheets of 6 x 6 paper.  In total, you will receive 84 sheets of designer paper.  That's 1/4 of each pack.  Cost is $35.

 

2. In Color Designer Series Paper Share  These papers are all 6 x 6.  This share includes the 2020-2022 In Color and the 2019-2021 In Color stacks.  For each of these stacks you will get 10 sheets ( one of all colors and designs) for 1/4 pack.  It also includes the Brights, Neutrals, Regals, and Subtles.  For each of these you will get  20 sheets per pack (one of each color and design) for 1/2 pack.  All in all you would get 100 sheets of designer series paper.  Cost is $35.

 

3. Both Shares  You'll get a total of 184 sheets of designer series paper.  The cost is $70 and you'll have samples of all of the designer series paper in the new annual catalog.

This way you can get a little taste of our beautiful designer papers!  You are going to love them.  I will throw in a little gift for each package, too!

A Fancy Best Dressed Designer Series Paper Card

I just can't seem to get motivated lately.  I have so much to do and I don't want to do any of it.  Do you ever feel that way?  I've been blaming it on staying at home for ever it seems.  So I was really happy when I made the card for today.  I wanted to make a special card and I love how it turned out.  I warn you now that it's not a simple card at all.  It took some time, but it was time of joy.  I do love creating when things just seem to fall in place.

This picture doesn't really do justice to this card.  Let's try this.

There's some dimension to this card.  I can't take credit for the 3D flowers.  I saw the idea somewhere for this and I can't find it again.  I wish I could give credit where it is due.  The flowers on this card were cut from the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper.  It's on the Last Chance Products List.

The base of this card is Thick Whisper White that is 4 1/4 x 11, scored and folded at 5 1/2.  Cover the front of the card with Purple Posy checked paper.  I'm so sorry to say that it is no longer available.  You know you can substitute another paper easily.

The saying is from the Stitched All Around stamp set.  I used the Stamparatus to stamp this to get a good crisp dark image.  I stamped in Highland Heather.  Cut this out with the Stitched Label Dies.  This stamp set and the dies are also on the Last Chance Products List.  Hint:  The dies are on sale big time!  Place the saying in the center of the card on dimensionals.

Most of the flowers have three layers.  I used two sheets of the paper.  Cut the whole flower, then find another that looks close and cut out a smaller part.  Cut along lines inside.  Now find another flower on the paper and cut out a third even smaller flower.  Crinkle each layer up into a tiny ball and then pull out again.  Attach the layers with dimensionals.  I made three pink flowers and 4 purple ones.

Now figure out where you want them on the card.  Add with dimensionals.  Leave room for a bow at the top.  The bow is made from the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding.  I colored it with the Dark Highland Heather Blend.  I used a bow tier to make the bow.  Add with a glue dot.

Once the flowers are placed and the bow, cut lots of leaves from the designer paper.  Add with a glue dot at the base.  I did cut some leaves from other papers in the pack to get a few darker ones.  Just keep cutting and adding until all is right with the world.

Here is the inside of the card.  The saying is from the Free as a Bird stamp set.  Add more cut outs from the designer paper.

One last touch is to add some Wink of Stella to the flowers here and there.

The card really isn't hard, but it does take some time.  We won't have this paper much longer.  The flowers are beautiful.  Wouldn't this make a beautiful wedding card!  I used it for a birthday.

Let me also say that this really isn't a card to put in the mail.  It's a deliver in person card.

Friday Tutorial To a Wild Rose by Wendy Lee

Welcome to my Friday Tutorial!  Today I have a beautiful card by Wendy Lee.

This is so pretty!  Here are all the directions and measurements.

Supplies:

Tools & Accessories: Glitter Enamel Dots (146934), Stampin’ Spritzer (126185), Sprig Punch (148012), Story Label Punch (150076), Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder (152725), 3D Embossing Folder Plate (149658), Emboss/Die-cut Machine, Wild Rose Dies (149547), Well Written Dies (151816), Paper Trimmer (152392), Take Your Pick (144107), Bone Folder (102300), SNAIL adhesive (104332), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755)

Measurements:

Card Base: Thick Whisper White 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”. Fold in half.

Cardstock #2: Whisper White 3-3/4” x 5” for layer, scrap for die-cutting

Cardstock #3: Melon Mambo 3-7/8” x 5-1/8” for layer

Cardstock #4: Granny Apple Green scraps for punching

Cardstock #5: Basic Black scrap for punching

Watercolor Paper: 1 sheet for die-cutting.

 

Instructions:

Add texture to bottom half of Whisper White cardstock with Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. Adhere layer to Melon Mambo cardstock with SNAIL adhesive.

Adhere layers to front of folded card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the Sprig Punch, cut out two springs from Granny Apple Green cardstock. Adhere to card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stamp leaf images on Watercolor Paper with Memento ink. Apply a small amount of Granny Apple Green Pigment Sprinkles to stamped images. Spritz with water to allow color to bleed. Let dry. Die-cut with Wild Rose Dies. Adhere to card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stamp flower images on Watercolor Paper with Memento ink. Apply a small amount of Melon Mambo Pigment Sprinkles to stamped images. Spritz with water to allow color to bleed. Let dry. Die-cut with Wild Rose Dies. Adhere to card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Cut out label from Basic Black cardstock with Story Label Punch. Adhere to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Die-cut sentiment from Whisper White cardstock with Well Written Dies. Adhere to card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Apply Enamel Dots to card front with Take Your Pick.
